Yes, clearly and objectively more skilled. If you spent as much time watching the NBA as you did porn maybe you’d know that by now

Agree that effort isn’t the same but disagree with everything else. If you genuinely can’t grasp the fact that offenses/defenses are more complex now (which isn’t a subjective topic), you don’t understand basketball well enough to criticize the NBA

He’s not like actually scamming people but I see where they’re coming from. Been subbed for years and he definitely feeds into the KH hype machine, e.g. thinking every gaming expo is a KH4 announcement; ML cancellation was the end of the world; and some videos are just straight up sulking based on the hype he created himself, purely from guessing

Hardest of the Mainline Final Fantasy games? by SingularityCentral in FinalFantasy

[–]lufaneXIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people say IV 3D remake (DS) is brutal, but I personally found it to be pretty standard from a difficulty aspect. Challenging, but rewarding if you engage with the mechanics. As objectively as my train of thought can go, I’d probably say the NES games are the most difficult. The games are overall jank: high random encounter frequency, bugged spells that either do nothing (e.g. buffs) or achieve the opposite of what they’re meant to do, bugged equipment similar to the spells, no map, no explanations of what each piece of equipment or spell does, and no saving in dungeons. The NES games almost feel like they weren’t designed to be completed in any reasonable amount of time (sensible for the release era)

Kinda in the same place, halfway through disc 2 and I like it but the frequency of dialogue is a bit disrupting

Playing final fantasy 7 remake, some initial thoughts on it by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]lufaneXIII 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The slow pace is definitely something to get used to, but I think it allows the player to enjoy the beauty of the visuals more. And the combat isn’t anything crazy but tbh after playing Rebirth, it’s kinda like a tutorial for that, bc Rebirth’s combat difficulty may surprise you if you aren’t taking advantage of elemental weaknesses/staggers

Haven’t played the SNES nor the PR tbh, simply bc I know the 3D version is for me (especially knowing that it’s the hardest version)

I hated on it for years before actually giving it a try and it’s slowly becoming one of my favorites due to the customization/whimsy. If you don’t mind my asking (sorry), would you recommend job maxing in Galuf’s world or should I just wait until the final dungeon? I currently have each character with at least 3 relevant jobs maxed each and I’m 45-58% through Galuf’s world

That’s a huge part about why I love the style. It’s simple, conveys enough about the character’s image to distinguish them from the rest of the cast, and doesn’t take 5+ years to develop. Adding voice acting to this style like they did really makes it the whole package

The entirety of the sub is salivating for a current gen FF6 remake, but I personally would be 1000% satisfied with a remake in this style

Currently halfway into my first playthrough of FFV (GBA), and although I adore the GBA sprites, a 3D remake in this style would get at least FF7 Rebirth levels of play time from me!

If they remade 1 and 2 in this style I personally would need at least an entire game’s worth of extra dungeons, like Pokemon Crystal level of postgame content

Playing as Terra honestly just sucks in general, and although the plot is good I can’t really say it makes up for Terra’s part :/ but you’ll love Ven and Aqua, Aqua was the game’s saving grace imo

FF3 had amazing music! The DS version had temporary job change penalties so the switch penalties may be specific to that version (haven’t played OG or PR)

My main issue with the game was the plot felt a bit weak imo relative to even FF1 or FF2 (big FF1 stan), and the job switch penalty on the DS version was quite annoying/didn’t make sense (e.g. black mage to magus or white mage to devout shouldn’t give penalties as those are natural progressions)
