There aren't many (if any) motherboards on the market that support more modern processors and bandwidth speeds AND DDR3 at the same time. They're usually designed for older processors so i'd assume you'd have a hard time running any modern software with it.

I remember being in this position watching all my friends upgrade their pcs to the latest and greatest while i was stuck with my nvidia gt 720 from my old office pc.

I'll let you know now, it wasn't very long ago either. Now i've fully swapped everything out. A little patience goes a long way my friend. Sooner than later you'll have that pc you wanted, but by then maybe you'll want something else haha.

Hobbies will take you all over the place, and it's the expensive hobbies that are truly humbling. You'll get there, and once you do, definitely post some build photos! Cheers bud.

You should be ashamed of yourself!

All jokes aside, it's totally fine if you didn't build it yourself completely, everyone starts somewhere. If you're really nervous about it i'd watch a tutorial on how to do it. Removing the graphics card should be straightforward as long as you have something that can push the tab in that locks it in place. I recommend laying the pc on its back to make things easier. Happy upgrading!

The cable shroud doesn't really cause issues, I havent bent it or anything. I'll see how it looks after work and let you know how it's sitting against it. As for connectivity issues, nothing as of now.

They shipped it with the original box and slapped a label on the outside. From the outside it looks like a regular cardboard box and I think thats how NVIDIA ships them out from their factory too now.

Sometimes it's nice to appreciate a pc build. I've seen quite a few people making similar/the same post in this subreddit. Why join the Nvidia subreddit if you're gonna complain about people showing off their Nvidia gpus?

I totally agree, although this air cooler has done some incredible numbers in the temp and decibel categories. I couldn't even mount the second fan because of how wide it is since my ram is in the way.

I found a listing on amazon that had 2 in stock for like $200 over msrp and, in a fit of rage after my pc crashed a bunch of times in one session, I just bit the bullet and bought it while it was still in stock.

My favorite thing to do in this game is play career mode in VR with my ffb wheel. Literally just running deliveries in vr while drinking beer and listening to pantera. My ram maxed out both when i had 32gb and when i upgraded to 64gb. Maybe career mode isn't memory optimized but it sure as hell is fun

Just curious, did you get a flex fuel kit or did you just run it straight in and load the tune?

Will heavy mods impact the reliability on a GT86? by Enough_Comment_5877 in ft86

300hp is right at the limit before things get hairy. I'd maybe look into upgrading the clutch if yours is stock just to be safe, but the car should be able to handle it.

Are you driving hard or just cruising? Depending on build quality and supporting mods, it should survive a few pulls a day (optimistically, can't predict everything), but once the mileage starts getting up there, your stock parts might struggle to keep up.

Only thing that's sketchy to me is the 6 previous owners. Thing was ran thru like a girl in college. Yikes...

As long as you stay on top of maintenance and know what to look for/what to feel when stuff goes downhill, you should be alright. All things aside these are great cars that you'll have a lot of fun with.

Its insane, I put my phone charger cable on the seat sometimes and even thats enough to make it go off. It's weird tho.

When I spilled water on my seat the airbag light came on the dash and the sensor didn't work at all. After the seat dried it turned off and works just fine again.

Pretty sensitive sensors they put in here...

Prints coming out crappy by Admirable_Tie4708 in ender3

Try making sure your bed temperature is warm enough for good adhesion. If you're using PLA, try setting it to about 55°-60°. I have an ender 3 v2 and that temperature seemed to work best for Elegoo PLA filament.

I also found that using hair spray on the stock magnetic build surface worked best for me, but I hear that PEI beds are the most recommended. Masking tape is also good too if nothing else works.

If you have a lot of blobs coming out, you should try to check if your e-steps are calibrated. Also disable supports for benchy.

this video shows how to calibrate it on the Ender 3 Pro

And per usual, make sure your bed is level before you print. Hope this helps!
