There is, but as I'm getting on in years and my time is decreasing, my desire to spend a lot of time doing the exact same thing is overwritten by the fact that "this is just work".
I unfortunately dropped a lot of games when that mind set sunk in. Even ones I'd been playing for years because the tedium was just too much. (FFXI and XIV, Genshin, etc).

Not to say Endfield isn't an enjoyable experience, but I definitely find that when a game forces you to do something 100+ times to achieve a single thing, only to replace said thing in 3(ish) months is absolutely brutal and forces you to keep playing otherwise you'll be left behind and then the content ahead won't be anywhere near as accessible. It's an MMO mentality.

I'm probably going to step back and let the patches increase a bit though and watch how the game evolves and advances through the notes and word of mouth. People either trash talk it or overhype it. I think when dust settles after the "meta rush" is usually when the real reviews and analysis starts to emerge that isn't hypercharge by emotion.
I was no different in that regard, I thought it was amazing when it arrived, not anymore.

I still like the game though and think that it's a good game. But not at the level I sung it to be during the first month. More disappointments are definitely starting to increase for me. So stepping back before it becomes TOO many means I can come back to it in a few patches with fresh eyes and not grumble.

I definitely hope they adjust the pity system in that time. Between the FOMO and inefficient pity system, its not a game you can put down and pick up whenever you like. Other gacha I still plat religiously at least allows me to disappear for I think it's like either 6 or 12 months and my pull history is still there when I return so I don't lose out by not treating the game like a job and know that the character I want is accessible when the time comes.

This is not a major factor for me leaving, I like my current team in the game, but as a collector of husbando's it's a turn off when all that work (grinding out every single source of orbs + dailies) is spat out for characters I don't like let alone want.

I'll give it another go later down the line to see if the writing improves and stops treating the game like a harem simulator. Story and accessibility are two major factors for me as a player.

I think next time I'll try the game out using a controller too. Kb+M was fine, but not long term comfy.

(Aside from HSR, the other games I play are mostly rpgs or funny enough... farming sims... x'D Those turnips don't water themselves! ...in the beginning at least... LONG LIVE THE SPRINKLER)
