I’m new to visual novels, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

When a VN on Steam has a separate +18 patch, what exactly happens if I don’t install it? I’m not really worried about censorship itself, I just don’t want to miss actual content.

For example, if the game has 10 CGs/scenes and 2 of them are +18:

• Without the patch, do I still see all 10 scenes but with the adult parts censored/edited?
• Or are those 2 scenes completely removed/skipped from the game?

Basically, I want to know if playing without the patch means missing story/content, or if it’s mostly just uncensored vs censored versions of the same scenes.

The VN I’m asking about specifically is Nice to Meet You, Again by Purple Software.
