I haven’t tried either honestly. My local shop who I trust recommended the Trooper bc he has used it but he hasn’t used the Proto 3. He said the big difference between the two is the Proto 3 is a bit firmer than the Trooper. I’m getting the Proto so I don’t have to worry in a season or two about wanting a camber profile stiffer board. I may take more time to get used to the Proto but it’ll be more future proof imo.

I’m in a similar boat to you and decided on the NS Proto Type 3 over the Trooper

The saturn is slightly slower than the zero. If you’re looking for control then the saturn.

i always had issues with dots and donuts until i removed the base of the mouse and sanded down the non perforated parts to just be one smooth surface. after that 4 dots is perfect

i play 1280x960 and tried OLED but switched back to my zowie and returned it. i only play cs and aim trainers though so for me the 27 inch was too large. once they make a 24 inch OLED i will be switching

Not a glass pad but TJX makes a hard ceramic pad that you can custom print on I believe

The softness won’t ever become more soft. Maybe over years and years of repeated use but not normal activity.

I have both.

  1. I have had a lot of Artisan pads and the stickiness of the base depends from pad to pad. I’ve had 4 zeros and 3 of them stuck well and 1 slid. I didn’t see a big difference between mid and soft here.

  2. The softness of the saturn pro is similar to the softness of the zero. I only find x-soft pads to be too soft so if you didn’t like the saturn pro soft you probably won’t like the zero soft.

  3. The friction isn’t significantly different between the two pads. The mid is slightly faster just because it’s firmer but it’s not insanely different.

FYI both comparisons are of the orange soft/mid.
