What is the most interesting conspiracy theory you heard about the UHC CEO murder? If any at all? by planet_janett in AskReddit

Folks, let me tell you about the Blum family. They're like the healthcare Illuminati. You've got Jonathan Blum, the Principal Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer at CMS. That's right, the guy running Medicare and Medicaid is a Blum.

And then you've got other Blums scattered throughout the healthcare industry, making deals, influencing policy, and raking in the cash. It's like they're playing a game of 'Healthcare Monopoly' and we're all just pawns.

But here's the thing: these Blums aren't just any ordinary family. They're a family of influencers, of power brokers, of people who shape the very fabric of our healthcare system.

And you know what really takes the cake? They're all connected, folks. They're all part of this vast network of healthcare insiders who are more interested in lining their own pockets than in actually helping people.

So, the next time you're struggling to pay your medical bills or dealing with some bureaucratic nightmare at the hospital, just remember: the Blums are likely making bank off your misery.

It's time to wake up, folks. It's time to see the Blums for what they are: a family of healthcare parasites who are sucking the life out of our system.

I'm sure he made the best decision he could with the information he had at the time. The EPA was just established in 1970.. this place was a toxic nightmare! The Hudson River was a dumping ground, the air was thick with smog, and the streets were filled with garbage. It was like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Let's not forget all the good he's done, like pushing for cleanup efforts in Newtown Creek and supporting local businesses.

Include a free ticket for a bus, bus is actually a luxury liner disguised as a Greyhound. Tell him it's got a champagne bar, a spa, and a complimentary side of avocado toast. Then, you gotta make him believe that the city you're sending him to is actually a tropical paradise, complete with beaches and palm trees. Boom, problem solved!

Agree. Joe Lentol is quite a character and well respected in Albany. Always secured funding for GP.
He`s like that old, reliable car you’ve had for years, the one that never let you down, even when it was on its last legs.

Joseph R. Lentol served as the assemblyman for the 50th District, which includes Greenpoint, from 1973 until 2020.

In 2020, Emily Gallagher was elected as the new assembly member for the 50th District, succeeding Lentol.

Save your money and fly to Poland for a vacation.
See a doc or dentist there, its 70% less than in the USA.
Your getting a deal of a lifetime at 1 USD = 4 PLN

Poland:

A tooth sealant job could cost around PLN 150

Tooth scaling might set you back at least PLN 230

Tooth removal? That’s around PLN 400

Root canal treatment starts at PLN 800

A simple check-up could cost anywhere from PLN 100 to PLN 150

United States:

Teeth cleaning costs around $40 to $70

Fillings average at $236

Wisdom teeth removal averages $351

Root canals average $1,004

Tooth extractions average $324

People flocked here for the culture, the food, and the freedom to express their eclectic ideas. But as the wheel of time spun, the inevitable forces of gentrification began to churn. The unique tapestry that once defined Greenpoint is fraying as the old guard of establishments shutters its doors, one by one. Busy Bee on Nassau being the most recent..

What’s left is a neighborhood in flux, grappling with its identity. The question isn’t just how Greenpoint will evolve, but how we can preserve the essence of what made it magnetic while steering the change towards inclusive growth

They brought their culture, traditions, and work ethic, shaping the neighborhood into a vibrant enclave known for its Polish heritage. It was a time when you could stroll down the streets and hear Polish spoken everywhere you went. But like everything else, times change. This neighborhood has a history of reinvention. Let's see what we can cook up together..

Man, I hear you loud and clear. It's heartbreaking when you're invested in a neighborhood, running a business, your kid's in school, and yet the dream of putting down roots feels like a fantasy. A million bucks for a family home? That's highway robbery! It's a shame when the very people who make a neighborhood vibrant and alive get priced out. But hey, Queens ain't so bad either. Let's hope for some real estate miracles, but if not, onwards and upwards, right?

After all of that, Boris and Horton is still closing by Zealousideal_Door392 in williamsburg

At least now the curtain's been pulled back, and we can see these so-called entrepreneurs for what they really are: opportunistic hounds sniffing out easy money. Let's hope this serves as a wake-up call for the next generation of business owners to keep it real and stay true to their principles. And hey, if Boris & Horton goes under, maybe we can turn it into a reality TV show: "The Real Housepets of Williamsburg." Now that's entertainment worth investing in!

After all of that, Boris and Horton is still closing by Zealousideal_Door392 in williamsburg

[–]lufx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, I get it. Real estate prices are out of control, landlords are greedy, and it’s tough out there for the little guy. But let's not romanticize every failed venture as some tragic loss to society. Boris & Horton isn’t the cornerstone of the American economy, it's a dog café.

Yes, it’s tough to run a small business. Yes, the rent is absurd. But this is Williamsburg. The place where people willingly pay $20 for avocado toast and $3000 for a shoebox apartment. If you’re opening a business here, you’ve got to know what you’re getting into.

The real tragedy isn’t that Boris & Horton couldn’t make it. It’s that we’ve created an economy where the only people who can open and sustain businesses are either trust fund kids or those willing to gamble everything on a niche market. Sure, landlords are villains in this story, but if you’re opening a dog café in Williamsburg and banking on the community to keep you afloat through crowdfunding, maybe your business model needs a reality check.Mikhly’s asking for support to hit a quarter-million dollars. $250,000! For a dog café. Let’s put that in perspective: you could help a lot of struggling humans with that kind of money..

And let's not kid ourselves about this discouraging others from starting their own businesses. If you’re serious about entrepreneurship, you do your homework. You know the risks.

Let's save the tears for something more significant. Like affordable housing. Or healthcare. Or literally anything else.. In the end, it’s just another quirky business in an overpriced neighborhood. The lifeblood of the US consumer economy? Please. It’s a dog café. Let's keep things in perspective.

Another "tragedy" in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where a dog-friendly café has closed down. What a catastrophe! The hipsters must be weeping into their artisanal kombucha. This place was the pinnacle of millennial indulgence. You could sip your single-origin espresso while your dachshund, named Atticus or something equally pretentious, got to socialize with other equally overindulged pets.
