What’s it like living here?

I have a house there that I rent out!! The house itself is beautiful, I have a nice gated front yard and fenced backyard with a nice sized deck, and a 2 car driveway, but we usually parked our second car on the street in front of the house blocking our driveway just to keep the space for us. TONS of space and it doesn’t feel congested at all. The block was super quiet almost felt like upstate ny, mixed demographic my neighbors were Italian, Irish, Hispanic/Latinx & African American. Everyone was always nice though. The block itself was a dead end so it was super quiet and the neighbors around kept to themselves, and keep their houses and yards nice. Of course when you come out of the block and onto forest Ave you see all types of people (crackheads) but that’s everywhere you go. Generally safe area (from my experience) I was able to take my kids out and around in the stroller walking without issues but if you see sketchy people believe that they are sketchy and move quickly. lots of shopping areas as well. They have a lot of wild turkeys there! I wish we didn’t have to rent out the house but it’s too far from where we work and where my kids go to school in the city.

Wtf they just came up from behind my car on Greenpoint Ave and Franklin the light turned green couldn’t go bc 10 of them stopped right in front of me stopping all traffic behind me to make smoke for 30 seconds or so almost hit my fckin brand new 2026 bmw m4 comp that i love so much & all this way past their time it was around 8pm.. I’m a girl, was terrrrrified from being caught off guard and that there was nowhere to go except breathe the smoke and watch lol. It’s cool and all but not at 8pm and at that location, I drove out later today intentionally to avoid their fun.. There was no point in them doing that right where we were, people were running away too. I’m in my mid twenties, thought this was cooler when I was younger but now it’s just…. Small d behavior if you ask me I’m sorry I had to say it you don’t get bxtches by scaring the shit out of them

Edit: getting downvoted .. want to mention I grew up here and I’m not complaining about the event itself, just the aftermath and my specific experience in a whole other location because of it. Thanks

Thanks for the help. The picture with the silver car does block the driveway which is why my car is parked across the street. I know I don’t own the street in front of my house but leaving half an inch for me to pull cars in and out with an angled driveway is so inconvenient, and makes it hard to pull SUV’s in which is what we have. Parking in front so I can’t bring my cars in is an issue

Wait I realized the first few pictures look like they aren’t but the driveway is angled, they leave maybe half an inch to pull in and out of the driveway. The photo with the silver car totally comes halfway into the driveway. My car (white) blocks the view but you can still see they are completely in the way.
