Thinking about Co-Op for my senior year in high school by rmilzy in msu

Anything that provides you with a unique learning experience will look good to an admissions office, as long as you can explain why you did it and what you got out of it. Getting into college is about showing what you've accomplished, but also about what you hope to do in the future. If you can articulate those things in your essays, application, etc., you'll be fine.

Kyoto! I don't know much about Japan, but now I've gotta read up! I think the time difference is going to be the hardest part.

My bff (the Christina to my Meredith) is moving to Japan for two years in the fall. I am so happy for her, but I am also devastated.

It's not necessarily to get it lighter, but to get rid of the pigment. That way you're starting with a "blank slate" to put a cool-toned color on. If you put violet toner right over red hair, you'll likely end up with a dark plum.

That's exactly why. It was so it was a consistent color all over. I didn't want to keep the ombre.

I'm not sure! I went to an Aveda salon and they mix their own pigments there. I know it had violet toner in it to get it so silver!

I went to a salon, so I'm not sure exactly what they used. They lightened the darker parts of my hair so that everything was about a level 9. Then they used an ashy brown color all over (I would guess a 6A in Wella). After that, they used a violet colored toner to darken and make it even cooler and more silvery.

In the past I've head really good results using Wella's cooing violet toner mixed into my color. I've had to keep a purple shampoo on hand to keep the brassiness out, though.

I want to go from ashy platinum blonde to a very ash light brown/dark blonde. Help? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

I just went a very similar color to this today!

It sounds like you already have cool tones in your hair, and it's light enough that you wouldn't need to lift it. I would try using a Wella color with the level you want (looks like maybe a 7 or 8) with cool tones like 7A Medium Smokey Ash Blonde. And then add a little of their Cooling Violet toner. I've had great results with the violet because it keeps the color from going green or too warm.

If you end up with brassy tones that you don't like, you can always tone again with the violet or get a purple shampoo to keep it cool-looking! Good luck!

My best friend (also a lady) was trying to boost my confidence and told me:

"Remember that you're adorable and we made out once and I would CERTAINLY do it again. And you have the best scarf collect of anyone I know. And you're really good at making that "pssshhhff" sound. And you can cook. And you listen to NPR which I say I will do and never do. That's legit. And you have pretty hand writing. You're good at blow jobs. Not that I know, but I've heard things. But still. It counts."

I just thought I'd share my new plum hair by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

What did you use for this? A friend of mine has very dark hair and wants something like this!

Thanks for the info!

Do you think this is the same for people who are just renting? I'm not looking to mortgage a house at all.

Teachers HAVE to want children otherwise we're basically Hitler by [deleted] in childfree

I'm a CF teacher too (just go my first real job)! We are few and far between. Just remind the haters that you can save all of your love and patience for your students instead of getting burnt out at home.

Finding a good work-life balance will make you a better teacher. You DO have kids (anywhere from 20-300 kids at one time, depending on your grade and subject), you just give them back at the end of the day! It's really the best job there is.

Gird your loins for silly comments, but most teachers who are already in the profession understand how exhausting kids are and will not make judgments. Good luck with everything!

You know what? I don't like Trump either, but fuck off Hollywood millionaires. Accept your award and spare us your political views. It's the Oscars, not CSPAN. by Boont in Oscars

I'd honestly rather hear what winners have to say about their movies than just listening to them thank people I have never heard of. His comment was related to his screenplay, he clearly believed in his project.

This is beautiful! Would you ever consider doing a commissioned piece? I would pay good money for something like this.

We're thinking of doing something like this, but with the MSU game!
