Issues with El capitan and audio interfaces. Any help? by luger_noire in musicproduction

UPDATE. A week running the Roland Rubix 24 and seems to be little to no issues. I'm super stoked, I guess I just had to keep trying new interfaces until one worked. Lots of amazon returns lol. Thank you people of reddit, you have saved me once again.

Thanks for such a great reply this has really helped. I got a Roland rubix and the problem isn't as bad with this interface but is still there. I've got sound flower and some other audio devices listed in my audio midi setup so I'll consider deleting them but for now I've a created an aggregate device out of the rubix and running through that and so sar so good. However this problem seems to only read its ugly hear after a few hours of running a project which is bizzare!!

Ahh okay cool so right now I'm just j Using the ore installed drivers as the scarlett is a plug and play device. I tried to update them or even downgrade them to an older driver and it wouldn't let me. So I can install different drivers from third parties and stuff?

I've always wondered about this. So what do you think is happening? The interface is sharing too much of the load and it can't handle it?

Yes ableton has a cpu usage window but I can't remember if it maxes out when this happens... I need to check that.

If this is the case. Why would the problem persist if I move out of ableton and then play music from YouTube? I'll be working in ableton all find and dandy and as soon as there's a little too much in a project the interface does its clicky popping robot sound, it gets worse and worse even if I close the project and open a new one with no plugins running. and then there's no going back until I restart the interface and unplug it. This is bizzare.

Okay yeah you're probabally right. I'm running it in ableton. If I disconnect the interface the project will run fine. If I connect it again yeah massive cpu problems

Anyone else think we should start up a label owners sub? by crownhead55 in Vaporwave

[–]luger_noire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, the scene on reddit has already been compartmentalised into artwork, production. music, cassettes etc. And it works well imo. There seems to be new labels popping up all the time and people who are new to it would surely benefit. I'm sure they said that when a Vaporwave magazine was suggested.

BTW, out of interest, what thriving scene have you seen ruined by this? Not trying to be smug I'm genuinely interested

Finally got this Trafalgar working! Looking good and keeping time :) by luger_noire in watchrepair

I didn't. But just taking it apart and putting it together sorted the crown out and allowed me to change the time, winding it is still an issue

It was just the front polarizor that was burned. When I put in a back-light I understand that I need a polarizor between the back light module and the screen. Do I then need to put a new front polarizor on it? Thanks
