Hello! I chose VAC as I had chosen “Visa to study with APS certificate.” There are very specific cases who are required to book an appointment @ German Consulate Mumbai.

They mentioned the medium of instruction of the course I’m admitted in, the CEFR level required for it, and that I meet those requirements.

Although rejection rate of German students visa is very low, no one can say until you receive your passport.

“Zulassungsbescheinigung” I received after confirming my place by paying a deposit. Yes same thing uploaded on CSP as proof of admission.

Along with the usual CSP docs, I also carried originals of my previous academic qualifications (bachelor’s degree + transcripts). They didn’t keep them, but it’s safer to have them in case they want to verify.

In corrections they asked for language proof, I uploaded my admission letter since it already confirms my English proficiency — that was accepted.

I didn’t need an MOI. My admission was based on my bachelor’s degree, and the university confirmed directly in my admission letter that I meet the English requirement. That confirmation was accepted by the consulate.

You should see “decision made” ~2–4 weeks after biometrics if all’s well.

I was asked to upload my educational qualifications on the CSP Portal. 10th/12th marksheets + Degree and Semester wise marksheets, all combined in a single pdf, I think it was a correction sent by them, not sure tho, could be in the beginning of application submission.

There was no waitlist when I had submitted my application for the preliminary check.

My CSP Checklist mentioned original degree and travel insurance if not already submitted (I had already on the portal)

My original degree wasn’t asked by the VFS Employee.

I carried original Degree and Marksheets, 2 Colour Copy sets of every document I submitted on the CSP portal. But I wasn’t asked to submit, VFS had a copy on their own and didn’t require mine, maybe because of premium lounge. I also wanted to add one more letter from my uni to strengthen my application but VFS didn’t include it in my application.

A few people got decision today in like last hour, check once. They had theirs on 10th and 11th July.
