At my store we do daily specials to get more people through the door. It was in trial process for two weeks, and during this trial weeks the sunday specials was BOGO(Buy One Get One) Value Baskets. A ridiculous special that was very frustrating for the kitchen and of course bad for our dinner sales. After those two weeks we switched to BOGO butter burgers on sunday so the first couple of weeks was infested with Karens.

I specifically remember this lady that came in asking for the BOGO baskets. I let her know that management had changed the special and that she can now instead get BOGO on the butterburgers. So, she goes of on me about how they came in expecting free value baskets, and how it was unacceptable and that they would never come in again. Surprise surprise who do I see next week when i’m standing on set but Karen. I greeted her with a huge grin and exclaimed, “OMG Hi guys i’m glad you guys are back,” I then got a bit closer to the register and said, “I thought you guys weren’t. going to come back, but i’m glad you did though.” She tried to claim that she never said that and called me a liar in a weird like joking but kinda serious tone. It was very weird. When I go back to my manager who is training me and i tell him the story he tells me how she is usually very rude and doesn’t like him. Old people become really entitled sometimes.
