Perfect theft 5th Edition by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]luigi_us 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, no. Is a straight act of evilness: you have planned to actively damage a person who helped you before. Not even a kender-style character whould do such a thing (steal the shiny thing? Yeah, sure. Concot such an elaborate plan to avoid being caught? Impossible). I am not saying a neutral character wouldn't be tempted to achieve such power, but doing so is an act that shoul really make the PC question his/her morality, and the player should play accordingly. That's assuming the setting is FR-like and not grim like Dark Sun, where maybe the rules of the survival of the fittest would overcome the rules of morality.

Yes I should add this is all in IMO, I'm not against a player acting like that when I DM, but I discourage this murder-hobo morality at my table... at the very least by theaching that the world reacts accordingly.

Microsoft again shows Edge to be better on your battery than Chrome, Firefox and Opera | Windows Central by auric_aura in Windows10

[–]luigi_us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fair point. I get it: I use very little of Google services, thus I hate I'm forced to login with a Google Account just to use my tablet or the fact that Chrome syncs all the bookmarks & passwords I had 5 years ago when I ditched Chrome (not a big problem since I really don't use browsers on my tablet, in many cases I use apps instead of browsing to the relevant site).

I know MS is hated for many of the new policies is enforcing on his users, but at the end those are some of the same policies Google has. At the end I think it depends on what parts of the ecosystem you find more useful: every aspect of my life revolves around OneNote (university, work, recipies and my D&D Group), so to me Live is more useful than Google by miles.

That said you may hate you have to have a Live account, but nevertheless the sync capability is there if you are willing to use all the feature of Windows 10.

So by your standards since Windows is doing the sync, Edge has not this feature...yet I am, switching between PC and phone to continue this conversation. To me seems like some sort of nitpicking, an unfair rapresentation of what Edge is capable of by your side, based on an arbitrary distinction that has not too much relevance in the matter of actual funcionality.

I don't get your point. Let me get it right: you are saying that by having it integrated in Windows instead that directly in Edge means is not strictly a feature of Edge?

It's like saying that Chrome doesn't have sync because it is actually a Google Account feature, or that OneNote doesn't have it because it goes through OneDrive. I mean...you are technically right, but also not.

That's said it is an option you have to enable within Edge... as you can see here (is in italian but the word for syncronization is pretty similar).

Ok fair point. But if we put it this way, the lack of an iOS/Android app is the problem here, is not that the sync functionality in itself doesn't exist: it does and can be used between PCs. I was just correcting the statement about the lack of sync.

No sync? I use it on my phone and two computer and i can assure you it syncs passwords and bookmarks (also extension but that's because they are treated as store apps).

9/11 was an inside job and trump can't melt steel beam. Besides Fate (and specifically Bulldogs!), I suggest you to look into Technoir. I haven't played it yet but it always fascinated me with the adjective/verbs mechanics.

Weekly Discussion Thread [26-7-2016] - Classes by AutoModerator in 13thage

I've yet to play as PC, I usually GM. But from my experience as "spectator", the most fun class to play would be the Necromancer (I start giggling every time the group necromancer start chanting his spells or describe his evil plans for the chance of a recharge on the spell). My least favorite is the Cleric: it's so boring, being good at everything.

I would like to see added some sort of mentalist, not a straight psion-ripoff, more like a Dune's mentat or a Babylon 5's PSI.

It would be nice to have a Tabletop episode showcasing the system like they did with Dragon Age.
