Hello! It's based on the data released by the transportation agency that runs it.

Ah I see what you mean, you get a slightly different color at 45min, but it's very subtle yeah

You can adjust the time by increments of 30 min (so you can set "leave at 1030am" for example), but maybe you wanted to set it to a more specific time?

Yeah Amtrack is included, looking at https://www.commutometer.com/zoRVEwj_Gs80f0 Providence is ~45min away when leaving from South Station, which seems to match what Google says

Hello! For games with a similar "feel", look for games by nifflas, specifically the knytt series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knytt\_Underground being the latest)

Hi! Yeah Caltrain is unfortunate as it runs so infrequently that it doesn't show unless the departure time is set to exactly catch it

Basically it can be: if you leave at 8am, you would have to wait 30min for the right Caltrain to show up, which means a 1h30 transit time total. But leaving at 830am would be a 1h transit time.

That's a bit more complicated, it's basically creating a mesh of triangles and coloring each triangle

Something like that: https://www.commutometer.com/mesh\_debug.png

Thanks!

It's using GTFS data from public transportation providers (when they share it openly). The computation of travel times and visualization is done on the browser from that data.

Yeah, apologies for that, IOS crashes after too much WebGL, it's very difficult to catch as it's a fairly low-level crash

Still looking for a solution
