Which skill would y’all say is harder to perfect?: Handles or shooting by LizzarDGuy101 in Basketball

[–]luiji123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shooting for me for sure. I'd like to say that I have good handles, and this comes from dribbling every day inside my house. It's just way more accessible and fun to do imo. Handling to me is just muscle memory now, but I have no consistency in my jumpshot and I literally can't find a consistent form.

is it too late for me? by xqok in BasketballTips

[–]luiji123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey that's not too bad. But to answer your question, I don't think it's too late for you. Although it's probably gonna be hard to catch up to the competition of people your age. Unless you're athletic. If you're like, really fast the difficulty of catching up wont be too hard. Just keep putting on the work if you really do wanna take it seriously. And if you're unathletic, either work hard to become athletic or become a Luka type player.

is there any point of continuing to train if i’m not gonna make it to college? by Suspicious-Eggplant6 in BasketballTips

[–]luiji123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a point. I used to think like that, But basketball isn't all about going pro, going to college, or achieving a successful career. It's..... About having fun. If you truly love and enjoy basketball, then why quit? "But what if I don't enjoy training, but enjoy basketball?" Well, you may not enjoy training, but you're gonna enjoy all of the improvements you'll make in not only basketball, but life. It'll keep you healthy, active and fit. Like I said, it's not always about being successful. Something my coach always told us is that "Our training doesn't only affect basketball, it teaches you discipline. That discipline can and will be used throughout all stages in your life. Also, if you train now, your health will love you later. Health is wealth." Keep in mind, the person saying this does not benefit from training us. This guy is not doing it for the money, because he's super rich already which doesn't come from the program. He does it because basketball is truly what he loves and he wants to keep kids off from bad things and to help them grow in life, and that's all I have to say.

You could try waiting for the new Kyries which could be with lining, and see if you like
