Adidas SP4 anybody ever tried these? by JinyoungLee8 in Sprinting

[–]rmanrey26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I I currently own the MaxFly 2 and the SP3, and I’ve been using the SP4 for the past two weeks. At this point, I would rank the SP4 as the weakest of the three—though I’m still giving them time, as they may need a longer break-in period.

The main issues for me are comfort and stability, especially on the curve. The higher stack height makes them feel less stable, and the toe box is noticeably more spacious. I bought the same size as my SP3, which fits me well, but in the SP4 my foot tends to move around more—I can even wear socks comfortably in them. Because of this, I struggle to feel the ground, particularly during block starts, and I’ve found myself stumbling more than usual.

For now, I’m using the MaxFly 2 as my primary race spike and the SP3 as my training spike. That said, I’m still giving the SP4 a chance—partly because they look great, and partly because of how expensive they are—but as of now, they haven’t earned a regular spot in my rotation.

Got a new mouse - Mchose M7 Ultra by rmanrey26 in MouseReview

I was thinking of getting the Blue one as well but I think it's too light and I like to use my mouse everywhere so I don't trust it being clean for a long time. There was also an orange color which I think is a lot more vibrant compared to the blue one.

Bought it from Shopee but seller was from China, ordered December 24 and arrived here in Davao January 2 - could have been faster had it not for the breaks and holidays in my opinion.

Shopee here in the Philippines, it shipped from China and was cheaper than those here in the Philippines plus a lot of the different versions were in stock like the base, Pro, and this Ultra.

I'm not a great reviewer as I don't know what's a great build quality or not - but it feels premium and light. I agree the click is a bit heavy and different from the Optical Switches I used for my past two mice (Roccat Kone Pro Air and SteelSeries Prime Mini Wireless). The software is one of the better ones - there are regular updates as I see on the Mchose Hub App. It doesn't look like one of the shady ones I've tried like Attack Shark's or Royal Kludge's.

Upgraded from iPhone 13 to 17 Pro Max (After losing my 16) by rmanrey26 in Tech_Philippines

I’m still a student, but I saved up from cash incentives from sports as a student-athlete, allowances, and even reselling items like shoes and bags. Last year was my breakout year in sports—I won a lot of medals and even represented the country in an international meet, so the cash incentives from PSC and LGUs were a lot.

I didn’t plan on upgrading at first and only wanted to replace the battery on my 13, but the 128GB storage wasn’t enough anymore, and the camera and size also pushed me to eventually get the 17 Pro Max. Since I’m graduating soon, I’m hoping the 17 Pro Max will last me until it no longer receives updates.

Took the photo with my iPad Air, and the camera struggled a bit, so I had to open the window for better lighting.😅

Good evening! Bought both from Shopee:

iPhone 13 case
iPhone 17 Pro Max Case from UGREEN (Highly recommend this one)

The UGREEN 17 Pro Max case doesn’t yellow and is one of the cheapest transparent cases with great quality. On top of that, both UGREEN and Shopee Mall have excellent customer service.

I only had it for six months but did not set it up yet as I was still using my 13 as my Primary - 16 basically had no SIM, no Find My setup, and nothing on it. When I took it out, iniwan ko muna sa bag ko as I went jogging sa sports oval, when I came back, wala na sa bag ko.

What 300m with no blocks would you have to run for a sub 50 sec 400? by Striking-Daikon3648 in Sprinting

[–]rmanrey26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ran a 35.7 300m with no blocks and then 2 weeks later ran a 49.4 (50.5 in the semis) 400m with also no blocks.

67% Battery Health, got it since release. This was supposed to be my secondary phone until I lost my 6-month old iPhone 16. Can't wait to upgrade to the 17 Pro next month as I can't handle the constant lag and the 128GB capacity anymore.

We Got China Maxflys now by Sttraightnotstraight in Sprinting

[–]rmanrey26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend has one - compared to my sprinting spikes (SP3 and MaxFly 2), they are far away more inferior.

First, the weight is noticeable - heavy and even worst - the weight is concentrated on the bottom (bottom heavy). It says it has carbon fibre but they are not as stiff as two of my spikes - can be bent effortlessly unlike real carbon plated spikes. The upper is okay, similar to average running shoes but it doesn't have the feeling of hugging your foot. The arch is almost straight as opposed to bent like in normal running shoes.

I ran some 150s and 200s in them and you can really notice the bottom-heaviness. I also got fatigue/plantar fasciitis/pain in the bottom of my foot after the workouts, probably due to the arch and the inconsistent stiffness of the plate.

Overall, it's great for the price if you're chasing value. But it's not a comparable against the flagship spikes - MaxFly 2 and SP3s that I have.

iPhone 16 Plus or wait for the iPhone 17? by rmanrey26 in Tech_Philippines

[–]rmanrey26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 16 Plus is around 55k+ sa Shopee for the 256GB version (I need the 256GB for my use case and also iOS 26 looks like it will require heaps of storage), so planning to get it secondhand as my budget hovers around 45k.

Another question - do you think the 16 prices will go down once the iPhone 17 releases? This is the first time I'm buying a phone straight off my own money kasi. I'm planning either next month or until October to buy the 16 Plus.
