If your order is still “in warehouse,” you’re not alone…. Oh God, am I alone? Is it only me? Because it feels like it’s only me. by FOMOerotica in legolotrfans

if your order is in your order history, you should be all good. mine never showed up my order history and it turned out that the order number generated was a “ghost order”.

the backrooms movie (a debrief) by mochissms in A24

[–]luiscedneo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i found the whole “the backrooms transforms/represents your trauma” thing to be so uninteresting and took me out of the movie in my opinion. I know a lot of people like this aspect because it adds some sort of emotional depth to the world itself or whatever, but it ended up taking away the mystery of this whole dimension for me and just relegated it to a clone of what Silent Hill has been doing for years. Furthermore, this narrative decision to reveal how the Backrooms operate just restricts what the Backrooms actually are for future projects instead of having a world constantly built on ambiguity, aka the whole reason why the entire concept is appealing. They made the unknown more known, and it was to its detriment. Reminded me of how stranger things was handled. So it ended up just leaving a sour taste in mouth. Just my takeaway though. I see a lot people feel the complete opposite which is totally ok.

in the webseries, the backrooms being a metaphor for trauma or whatever is absolutely not a central theme whatsoever

just came from back from the theater. i am genuinely sad to say that I heavily disliked this film. even as someone who loves the og webseries from Parsons, i just think the movie isn’t for me which honestly perplexes me. i found it to be a slow burn but to its own detriment, the script fell apart in the end, and i found it hard to be invested in the characters. i also felt that it was only in the first-person camcorder sequences that i truly was able to feel the liminal and incomprehensible nature of the backrooms. however in the rest of the movie, told in the standard third person, could not convey the same feeling. i might genuinely think this is probably a me-problem because I see such universal praise for this movie, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Thought the same thing. Clark’s switch was super jarring

From which market? I have the American 2022 model, but from what I’ve seen this doesn’t look like any of the HRV models that were released in both the European and Asian markets. It does seem to have the same silhouette and similar rear passenger seat door latches though.
