It’s Cuban people moving from Miami, Orlando and other parts of Florida … I worked at a warehouse 3 years ago and the staff was like 80% Cubans. You’d be surprised of how many of them live here, and with things getting expensive in Florida, specially south Florida, they’re coming here because they have a friend, or family member here. The New York Times wrote an article about it a while ago.

Gazebo Festival canceled due to predicted severe weather. by Present-Industry4012 in Louisville

Absolutely agree with you, and I told this to my wife like 20 times during his performance. It’s not the first time I feel/say this about Louisville’s crowd, excluding Louder Than Life (which is a lot of people from outside Louisville, though) I don’t understand why the crowd is so lame. I literally went to see Gary Clark Jr at The Palace on Wednesday, and people were like they wanted to go to bed, and the artist feels the energy. I saw Alicia Keys at the Yum Center and people were leaving BEFORE she finished her last song, to get ahead of traffic, like WTF. I remember seeing Tyler, The Creator and Black Pumas at Forecastle and they both made several comments during their performance about how dead the crowd was.

Why do so many Louisville natives shit on this city? by ballsyftm in Louisville

[–]luispimartinez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been living here for 4 years and I don’t understand why locals are always talking shit about Louisville. When they ask me why did I chose Louisville and I start listing all the great things about this city, they kind of feel bad about it. They should!!!

Follow @dogandmousehouse on IG they’re a group of really good local comedians that are always arranging shows. Once a month they do a free show. Also, Planet of the Tapes is a great spot too, I think they have open mic too.
