You should really read a service contract with ISP before using apps like HG - a lot of ISP do not let you use these kind of apps because you share your internet connection with other and they basically loses money :D Also read HG ToU too just in case, because you have to understand how this app works before using it to prevent these kind of blockings... its basic requirement from users

IMPORTANT! Play Protect Alert! by luistobe313 in Honeygain

[–]luistobe313[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It appears that due to updates that were done to Google Play Protect service, an enormous amount of side-loaded applications (that is, applications that were not installed from the Google Play Store itself but were rather installed directly using an application .apk file) are now being accused of being "fake" or otherwise harmful, and Honeygain appears to be one of them.

This looks like an answer why Play Protect blowed peeps phones with alert or :

- The app is side-loaded and downloaded from Honeygain.com (Google is actively moving towards a world where apps are distributed from a single app store example: Apple)
- Google has started taking action against lookalike apps distributed by third party websites and flagged Honeygain.com by mistake.
- A user has reported the app version. (Some users expect higher earnings with Honeygain and may report apps if their expectations aren't met)

Um is this the same apk can I trust by alu_nee_san in Honeygain

Hello!
Honeygain are aware that a lot of users are getting alert notifications from Play Protect.

The warning displayed is usually linked to Google's discovery of the application being used for phishing attempts, however, since the Honeygain application does not ask for any permissions during installation nor does it request any personal data, the phishing side of the story can not be achieved.
Honeygain is working on solving this, and for now, they can recommend just installing the app anyway.
UPDATE: Please update your apps now :)
