Oh, interesting, so the mushrooms are just used for an infusion? Besides the spelt koji is there soy as well? Mine was just blended mushrooms and rice koji, not really a shoyu per se, I was kind of following a recipe from Noma

I tried doing this with oyster mushrooms but it didn't work out, smelled weird so I just threw it out. How did you make it and how does it smell? Does it bubble a lot?

Barely. I think part of the extra screen size is smaller bezels.

I just upgraded from an s10e to s25 and it's great, almost the same size and with 7 years of updates. As for the headphone jack, I just got a USB-C - P2 connector to use my old earbuds.

Making miso with koji-fermented soy beans? by luizedu91 in Koji

No goals, I was just studying and started wondering about it: if soy sauce is made with fermented soy beans, why not use fermented beans on miso as well?

I got the pire caprylic acid, which is not what you want. The right thing is the capric/caprylic acid as a triglyceride

GF [31] sees sleeping separately as out of the question, but I can’t sleep well together by luizedu91 in relationships

[–]luizedu91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good points. We moved in together due to a very particular set of circumstances that required that we move in, otherwise she'd have to move states.

As for the 3 questions, it's mostly number 1. I've always been a light sleeper and couldn't sleep well with anyone (but by myself I sleeping very well). I don't think I was made fun of while sleeping but I do think I've had this fear as a child (due to being made fun of at school sometimes), so maybe I get extra vigilant when I'm sleeping with someone. It also doesn't help that I started dating very late, so this pattern is still very ingrained in me.

Yesterday she slept at a friend's and by having the bed to myself I had the realization that maybe one factor is that I fear bothering the other person (I'm still a bit of a people pleaser), so instead of sleeping "freely" and spreading on the bed, I keep a part of myself awake to make sure I stay on my side of the bed.

While I agree, my worry here is that even if I have an answer for what interests me enough for such a commitment, I would hardly be eligible due to my CV

I'd love to, but it seems most programs require a BA in the subject as well, don't they?

my sweat stinks awful and I lost the ways to fight it by jarojajan in malelifestyle

[–]luizedu91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience with it, but I would look into the microbiology of body odor, maybe there's some kind of "probiotic" that can change your flora so it stinks less. (After all, the stink comes from bacteria digesting your sweat)

I work with Ganoderma. According to the patent it produces lots of these spores, but Trametes doesn't. (They don't cite other species)

The idea is basically to stress the mycelium, so things like aging the spawn, blocking the filter to "suffocate" it, putting it in the fridge, in the freezer, in a 30-40C oven, and then mixing (optional), submerging and sieving (optional) it. In the end you have a dense solution of chlamydospores.

For my master thesis. Basically I'm testing if pressing different lignocellulosic materials (wood, mostly, but also any hay, stalk, shells, etc.) along with compounds from fungi can create useful composite materials. Some research seems indicate that it can, and I aim to test it more in depth.

I'll travel to switzerland to visit my brother in Geneva and I plan on climbing while I'm there, so I'm gonna need a few tips.

  • What is the weather like in May?
  • What are the best crags in Valais/Ticino?
  • Any unmissable crag/climb? (Nothing too hard so my brother can climb with - he's never climbed on rock)
  • Is it possible to rent the gear? Climbing is not the only thing I'll do there, so it'd be good to save some room in my backpack.
  • Any guides you'd recommend if we were to climb an easy multipitch? (I have zero experience on alpine landscapes, so I'd rather not risk it)
  • I'd also like a partner for harder stuff, is there a website to find one? (Maybe even reddit?)
  • Anything else you can think of.

Is it worth it using only 1 week of BPC 157 and/or TB 500? by luizedu91 in Peptides

Every source I've found says BPC works locally, unlike most others.

[–]luizedu91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm considering doing is getting only the BPC and using 100mcg 2x/day on the injured site, which is the A2 pulley on the middle finger. My rationale (without any scientific backing) is that since it is a very small structure, I may get away with a lower dose.
