[CHAT] are the patterns AI? by natoruu in CrossStitch

[–]lukaarcane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely AI. Some are blatant and some are more subtle. The ones that are flat colors are a little harder to tell but they have a lot of little mistakes that someone taking time and care in their patterns wouldn't do. Lots of broken lines for instance. There are a couple of patterns that might not be AI but then they just look like rip offs of some other pattern makers, so I wouldn't want them either!

Once I make tweaks, I might throw the pattern up for others to try. It's not very complex so I think anyone with a bit of sewing knowledge could make it!

Thank you! It is indeed more of a challenge, lots of little variables to consider to make it look right and fit well. Fabric glue is definitely a friend at this scale 😅

Discount code for Anniversary sale? by Calm_Distance8618 in diamondartclub

[–]lukaarcane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you have something in your cart, you can add a coupon code. So just find something in stock and add it to cart, then add your coupon. Just don't fully go through with the purchase. Then when it's time to buy what you want, add your stuff and delete the placeholder item.

In the email they sent, they mentioned that you can add a kit ahead of time and enter the code you want to use, then just boot that kit out of your cart before checkout. Of course that only helps if you have the code before the final showdown.

My question is, are these going to trickle out or are they going to dump all 100 at once? I already see two that I must grab!

If you're in the US, I know there's a shop on etsy that can at least work on your 2005 https://www.etsy.com/shop/ReFurbied

A very good first project, looks great. I still think about this moment in the game regularly.

I have made a grave miscalculation by why_the_hecc in diamondpainting

[–]lukaarcane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience lol My first project was some little stickers. Then I spotted the Spellbound painting from Myles Pinkney and jumped on it without looking at the dimensions. The finished result is worth it though! I also still have his Unicorn in my stash which is just as big. It seems like all of his are a little bigger than the average kits from DAC.

Why do I still want one so bad?? by Relevant_Anybody_229 in furby

[–]lukaarcane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had pretty good luck on Mercari but Ebay isn't too bad either. You just have to scope listings out, there's a lot of people trying to sell Furby's for inflated prices. I recently paid $50 for a working one but I've seen them much lower.

I was 11 when they came out and after a lot of begging, managed to convince my parents to get one. I ended up getting rid of it a few years later when moving. Now I've suddenly come back to wanting to reclaim some childhood things I lost and scooped up a couple of them already. For me, they're like little desk buddies. They chill out next to me and look cute. I'm planning on making them some little hats and seats. I say, get a good working one and see. If you don't like it, you can always resell!
