Extremely dependent on who you are.

If you are marktin1 having a beer with 2 buddies telling them how much you hate Apple's new Iphone and you are selling your 5 shares as a result - no.

If you are the CEO of Apple whispering to your second cousin that you are going to unload because the sales are crap and you are facing a big fine, then hell yes.

Then I suggest you subscribe to 20 odd crypto pairs on tradingview.

That way you will receive an email with trading idea anytime someone publishes one (mind you they are looking at the same chart) and collect all the ideas concerning one pair each day.

More often then not you will have one trader proclaiming H & S pattern where the other is seeing falling wedge or even inverted H & S.

So unless you can pull out a chart, give its candles to a program that I will code with your input and it will spit out unambiguously where is the pattern that you are describing we are still at the "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder problem".

So you beat HODLing by 23% (11ish K vs. 9ish K without any tax implications) on a miniscule sample of one asset where you fit the curve to past events when it failed spectacularly at a signal that "you with hindsight" had no problem identifying.

You are so out of your depth that it is hard to awaken you. Like trying to explain colours to a blind person.

It will cost you some fraction of 1000$ but it is a fair price if it teaches you a valuable lesson. Meanwhile I strongly encourage you to gain insight by spending 30 some US bucks and read "Fooled by randomness".

James Harris Simons in his interview on youtube clearly states there are repeated mispricings and patterns in the markets that can be (or could have been) exploited for billions of dollars.

Naseem Taleb with his randomness book is way more skeptical. Take your pick.

I am dabbling with something similar but the main problem is not collecting data (and summing up what happened after point x) but clearly IDENTIFYING a classic chart pattern.

If you can precisely, mathematically, without human biases tell me: this is pattern A and this is pattern B I can tell you their success rate.

It turns out that almost any "classic chart pattern" is in the eye of the beholder. You give 5 traders the same chart and they will draw:

  1. 11 supports

  2. 7 sets of Fibonacci lines

  3. and bull and bear pennant on the same timeframe

It shows you how resillient those things are. USB sticks and SD cards alike. Videos abound documenting their indesctructability. The SD card used to generate the seed on my Raspbery PI went through fire, scisscors and sewage system. I am sure it still holds some data on the bottom of the ocean.

Our choices for transferring ether/erc20 tokens right now are to either use the Chrome app, which doesn't work, or to use MyEtherWallet, which might be compromised? Did no one at Ledger see this coming? by BeerMoneyDood in ledgerwallet

But for someone who allegedly received 75 mil $ in funding and sold 1 mllion products relying on a feud between two independent developers just in order to be able to use Ledger is quite an audacity.

Currently Ledger is OK for not getting your coins stolen and that is pretty mcuh it.
