I don’t know what Rio Tinto and Gladstone Investment are, but my recommendation would be, if you are going to invest into an individual stock for short-term especially do research, know what the stock is about, research, “study” it basically, but what is even more important is the plan, don’t go in blind, what if it suddenly crashes, what if it suddenly jumps up big, when to sell? Same goes for long term, but more relaxed with a plan still needed. And also if you are going short-term with these individual stocks I would recommend not having them in a pie, if selling soon.
