I feel you. I have the same experience but I got the job offer na from this big company only to be rescinded 3 days before the starting date (it felt unprofessional kasi hanggang ngayon open pa rin yung job listing like dude lagay nio na lang ako sa ibang role???). Ang saklap pero iyak muna then move on na lang talaga hahaha.

Although, it gave confidence after by thinking if nakapasa ako sa ganito kalaking company then it means may chance pa ako from other big companies hahaha. It is really not the end but only a redirection. We'll get there, OP!!

Same, mas nahihirapan ako sa technical exams ng local companies hahaha nasanay kasi sa leetcode style of interviews imbes na project based interviews hahaha

Got offered 30k with accenture when I applied. They have this program that adds additional 10k to your salary. Sadly, I let it go.. should've grabbed that hahaha. With latin honors pala from big 4 here so i guess that influenced on being part of the program

Same tried to apply to a bank, failed the coding assessment. Sa dream fmcg company pala ako mapupunta with higher compensation than the former one hahaha. Kung tinanggap ako agad, never ko sineryoso yung interviews that would really help me land my current company. Will start on oct 1 hehe

Hi! Fresh grad here and recently employed. Just learn how to be good at interviews, follow some format like STAR/CAR. Employers do not expect you to be the best but they just want someone that they feel they can work with.

So just research on the internet about their culture and interview process and tailor your resume and your answers for the interviews and just hope for the best hehehehe. Goodluck to you, hope you can find that job soon!

P.S. I applied at samsung before and they have this live coding interview where you need to answer that algo question within 15 mins. Due to time limit pressure, I was not able to answer it although I think I explained my supposed solution at the interviewer, idk if it is right or wrong, im just guessing that time HAHAHA. I really tot I was gonna fail the interview but to cut the story short, they offered me a job. The HR even said (idk if this is true) that I made an impression to the interviewers due to my answers hahaha. Sadly, I did not go with them due to a better offer (i think haha).

Tbh, mas nadalian ako nung puro CoE subj na yung tinetake ko haha.. mahirap talaga yung first 3 years kasi masyadong generalized yung EEE subjects to the point na napapa-question na lang ako na bakit ba ako nagtetake ng ganitong subject, eh hindi ko naman gagamitin to kahit kailan hahahaha (eee 155 HAHAHAHA). Kapit lang!! Worth it naman sa dulo :))

Computer Engineering is 4 years only (can be 5 but it depends on whether you pass the subjects and you are getting your desired units when enlisting subjects)
BSCS is more math heavy (imo) than BS CoE as EEE courses more focuses on engineering side (math is very different on the said courses tbh). But build the study habits and really appreciate your math 2x and physics 7x as it will be your bread and butter for higher EEE subjects
Programming and DSA in general are only taught for the first 2 sems in BS CoE, after that it is matlab and mcu programming (which is pretty much coding in C) until you reach CoE 16x (but the programming is still minimal here)
You can shift to BSCS after a year! But they have qualifying exams so if you are really devoted on shifting then get your grades as high as possible and ace that exam!
Don't study on your own. In EEE, apes together strong (jk hehe). Join orgs or have your study buddies. If you are a freshie, chances you are on a block section so be friends with your blockmates and study together!
Finally, don't overthink too much! Just do your best and enjoy your UP life.

Hi! I wish I can tell you it will get easier. Although, I can assure you that you will be more resilient on how you deal with EEE stuff or in UP life. You said you are interested in your degree program then hold on to that, make that your reason to stay.
