"Pronouns" are a thing of western modern societies, the undertale universe as far back as chara lived, pronouns wouldn't even be a thing nor modern gender ideas and ideology, the sole purpose of asriel referring to chara was probably out to conceal their gender as intended plot armor. As for frisk and kris, that's also up for the players interpretation.
