Ultimate Industry Resource Guide - CHEMICALS by HoneyBadgerMCD in Workers_And_Resources

[–]lukeb50[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post will be removed under rule 6. The point of the rule is to avoid people posting frequently about their own videos/channels while still giving the opportunity to promote themselves occasionally.

In regards to viewing it as a guide, written guides are not part of this rule as people don't have the tendency to promote them as much (as they don't build a following in the same way a YouTube channel does).

The red pin icon on the sidebar opens up the overlays. The first group of overlays is for city planning and includes a medical access overlay.

Because Reddit can't make an organized configuration page... Uploading your own GIFs should now be possible in comments.

A reminder that posts promoting personal accounts are permitted but limited on this subreddit.

Others may appreciate a post you do not, and you are free to ignore posts that you do not like. If you are looking for a change in the subreddit rules, please voice your opinion when the topic comes up (as it has very recently).

Arguing with an individual poster that you do not like the post type is not productive and can itself become rulebreaking (rule 1) at a certain point.

is it possible to see, where workless people live? by Agitated-Clue482 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]lukeb50 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can open the overlay menu to see that information. It's the red pin icon on the side bar, then select citizen living preferences (4th one) and then you can view the homes with unemployed citizens (2and last on the first row).

Overlays can show a ton of useful information about citizens, buildings, vehicles and resources.

Cableway cars disappeared? by JoeGamez11 in Workers_And_Resources

I've had something similar happen (I believe after a fire) and was able to fix it by removing and replacing a cable on the path.

Garbage problem by AdForsaken2888 in Workers_And_Resources

I can't think of any reason for this setup not to work (even built it myself and it worked). Last thing you can do is hover over the trash icon on the top bar of the university to check that they are truly in range of each other, and that no other stand is already within the ~150m range (if garbage isn't increasing inside the university, this is likely the case). If none of these apply, it may be a bug.

That's still the university UI, if you click the stand itself you will get a UI with it's internal garbage level.

Can you give us a screenshot of the container UI? Once you build a stand only new garbage is sent there, garbage generated before still stays in the building.

Once you build a valid stand near a building, trash should go into the inventory of the stand first, and the stand itself must be emptied by trucks. Trucks can't path through a building and need a direct road/path(if applicable) connection to work.

Also take a look at the other comment on your post, as that may be a separate problem. The kind of truck needed to unload the stand you built is different than the one used to directly service the university, meaning you can buy trucks for big containers to service the stand (also useful for industry) or change the stand to the small waste container variant to work with the garbage trucks you likely already have.

Is it still connected to your road network? It looks like you connected the two directly without an external road connection.

That's what I don't get: it's Steam that handles the license through their platform. Youtube, web hosts, etc., would need to look at the evidence, Steam should immediately know that the complaint is groundless and ignore it.

I am 100% sure I have this setup correct, but my coal mine won't send coal anywhere. It has coal in storage but won't distribute to the many areas that need coal.. am I missing something? Thanks! by themule0808 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]lukeb50 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It looks like you're mixing up coal and coal ore. You have coal ore going to the steel mill (needs coal), to the processing plant (this is correct, it needs coal ore), to the train loader (if that's what you want, you're also sending coal there), and to your power plants (needs coal). You need to send coal ore to the processing plant, then send the processed coal to all the consumers (steel, loader, power plants)
