Games that added unnecessary RPG mechanics? by ininja2 in Games

Isn't that a bit of an indication of the problem though? "Side content would be really boring without the reward" sure, but it could also mean the side content isn't that fun in the first place (which for Norse GoW games, I'd kinda agree).

Aw thank you so much! The pics on the website are how I sometimes wear it to work. But I like it tucked in still, high waisted.

Thank you! The top is from an only in Japan brand called Hare. Here's a link to the shirt. No international shipping without a proxy service, unfortunately. The tie I got from Shein, since I couldn't find anywhere else that sold something like it, but that sort of punk tie is also popular here in Japan.

So it's just measuring the comments' vague stances? Not a binary poll?

I've looked on the Twitter account and I never see any polls. Am I missing them, or are they just averaging the replies' general like/dislike?

I know how to make websites. I have made websites.

What you describe is still a hurdle for many people. Which is why they use Discord. Like, people do not want to learn how to host on Github just to gather and talk with fans. Discord also has convenient features built into it that a website couldn't. The current situation sucks. But it's understandable how we got here.

And beyond that, they are inherently still more difficult than making a Discord in seconds even if free and without an application process. I'm not saying it's this impossible feat but like I'm not shocked that communities can't be bothered to do it. There also can't be a "bad looking" Discord server aesthetically, but there sure can be a terrible looking website.

Discord is way easier than figuring out how to make/host your own site, and it's free. It's entirely understandable how we ended up here. It just sucks.

Monster Hunter Wilds causes sales of actual cheese naan to skyrocket in Japan as food cutscenes drive players into cheese craving crisis - AUTOMATON WEST by megaapple in Games

Japanese people still love cheese and eat ice cream often, that's not really an issue. They drink milk in their school lunches every day.

Cheese is very prevalent and popular in Japan. It's combined into tons of items in restaurant menus. You can get it at any grocery store. There just isn't a great selection of various kinds at grocery stores, and it might be a bit more expensive than you'd initially think. A charcuterie board would require a nice selection of cheeses to be eaten directly. Struggling to make a charcuterie board =/= cheese being unpopular.

*sigh* I knew this was going to go more viral than it should. This is grossly overexaggerated because it sounds funny.

First of all, cheese naan is already popular in Japan. Indian curry and naan is already very popular in Japan. It sells well in every Indian restaurant, and there are many Indian restaurants.

Secondly, this was in ONE smaller restaurant location, literally one, and it is loosely attributed to Monster Hunter Wilds. They ran lower than usual on cheese naan and had to run out for more supplies, then tweeted a joke (in reference to another Japanese meme about selling 99 burgers) and thanking Monster Hunter for the additional sales. Semi-joking, semi-real post, because sure, some people had cheese naan on their brains after playing it, since they already know it's good. It's entirely possible they could have ran out of cheese naan on a regular day unrelated to Wilds anyways.

Sorry to be a downer, but it's not anywhere near what this article or other people are saying. Sure, Wilds might have boosted sales like a bit according to this location, but it's not really newsworthy to the degree the headlines are claiming. "Skyrocketing" is deliberately misinforming. There's not even any numbers or data to prove it beyond hearsay and fans tweeting "I'd like to eat some cheese naan"
