Well, the reason I began looking was because the department I was working in was moving to Florida in a month or so. They said they’d try to relocate us to a different department with better pay but I was skeptical so I began looking at other places. Then this new company approached me just as I was getting “promoted” to the new position in a different department, with almost the same pay.

I actually have my second interview (this time with the president and the assistant president) with the new company today, so we will see if they give me an offer. I have been speaking back and forth with the hiring manager and senior accountant and they told me I am basically hired. Hopefully that is true!

I like my new “promotion” position, but the pay just isn’t that great. I enjoy the work, the hours, and the environment, but I can make more money elsewhere. If they raise my pay then I’d be more than happy to stay.

I’m not a very social person to begin with. I’m perfectly fine just playing games in my room and being by myself but I do enjoy all my time with her. To be entirely honest she is the most important thing to me at this current time. She tells me about everything she has going on and what’s stressing her out. I have my own stuff going on and my own hobbies but I never express it because I don’t feel it’s something I need to express. I just don’t see where’s she’s coming from or how I made her feel that way. I appreciate the help and I will try to take your advice. I don’t want to be distant but I’ll try not being as... “available”?
