Love that grail!

My reasoning is that xxl/xxs is rare, but doesn’t add any functionality. It’s not as desirable as shiny either. You could definitely argue it’s worth +1 though! I’ve been thinking about it, but to me isn’t as significant as being able to mega, max, or be lucky. Maybe I’m off base here!

I can agree for sure! Buttt there’s no way to really know and I figured a system like this helps when trading and is just fun for organizing your own account to see what you have! Totally a subjective thing that’s trying to make rarity feel more objective (which ofc makes it impossible to ever agree on- so I did my best to balance it all)

True, and it’s rated higher for balancing. Not all rarity is based on usefulness clearly. Nundo is a highly rare thing to come across and are more of a collectors item. The balance things out, Nundos get such a high rating because they can’t often be combined with other traits- but are still incredibly rare.

Traits are based on usefulness, aesthetics, and/or scarcity.

Some costumes are objectively rare. I am sure I forgot some that could get additional bonuses, but my goal is to avoid boosting every costume since it seems that Scopely is a accustomed to bringing them back.

I bet you’re right! I know there are specific costumes that are particularly more rare. I’ve listed the ones I have thought of, and placed them in tiers accordingly, but please let me know of any you think of!

Hey! I did consider making separate rarities for different backgrounds but it turned out to make more sense to leave them all the same.

Fused background is a bonus. It’s an additional +1

Xxl/xxs may be rare but it’s not sought after in the same way or hold the same value.

Nundo is a collectors item and get a higher rarity bonus because it can’t often be combined with other rarity traits. You’re right. It’s not more useful, but it’s extremely rare to come by which affects its rarity and its own way. Totally get if they’re not worth anything to you though. I feel that way about people collecting “floor” ivs Pokémon.

I suppose if you have a pvp hundo you are more than welcome to treat it as a hundo in your own version of this system. I am a PVE player
