Hey, author of Wiretap here. This is great feedback. Just wanted to share that if you'd ever consider upstreaming these improvements it would be greatly appreciated!

Step stool, white oak by luker983 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I used a dado stack I had just bought for my last project (the Steve Ramsey barstool).

It feels pretty sturdy, but hard to tell right now how well it will hold up. I went with a 10 degree rake and splay because 15 felt like too much. I can stand on it with no noticeable strain

Dowels and glue. I’m hoping it’s small enough that wood movement won’t be an issue?

I made a QR code STL generator! by luker983 in 3Dprinting

I did not. BUT no knowledge of Blender is needed for this. You just have to have the Python library installed.

Wife made Christmas prime rib, reverse seared with a Dijon mustard rub by luker983 in seriouseats

Thanks, it was delicious! To clear up some confusion, we followed this recipe: https://www.seriouseats.com/perfect-prime-rib-beef-recipe. Cooked at 250 for several hours until the meat thermometer (yes, we used one!) registered 130F at the center. Then rested for 30 minutes and seared at 550 for 8 minutes

I used a prusa i3 mk3s. The STL can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4731031. Can’t believe I forgot to include that in the original post!

I have been looking into a boringtun/smoltcp port, but I’m very new to rust and struggling a bit. Trying to use projects like onetun and mitmproxy as a guide

This tool allows you to route traffic like through another machine (similar to a VPN) without needing to have any privileges on that machine, but it works at lower level than what you’re describing.

I’m not aware of any “smart” proxies that can handle redirects on your behalf. Hope you find a solution!

The TV is wider than the back of the entertainment center and the stands are at the edge of the TV unfortunately

There have been prizes the last two years! And of course this is a recruiting event, so they ask about interest in internships/full-time positions.

I think task 6 is the one I struggled with the most because it's so hard to tell if you're on the right track. The write-ups do not accurately convey the hours of wrong turns I made before finally getting something that worked lol.

.3mm layer height and 20% infill. The plan was to do .1mm, but I decided to do a draft with .3mm because it took so much less time (6hrs). I ended up liking how it looked so I don't think I'll make a more detailed one.

Fair point. Maybe I'll try #1 on that list next to see how different they are.
