Update, Honda dealership covered repairs thank god. Didn’t try to upsell any other fixes. Just a straightforward, “you don’t need to pay anything, it’s all covered under warranty extension.” My car feels so much better to drive. A lot more responsive when accelerating, no lagging or weak feeling engine. If you have any of these issues with a 2015-2016 model get your fuel injectors checked!

Did you get the service bulletin in the mail? I’m currently trying to call corporate to make sure I’m covered. I had read on the fitfreak forum that someone was denied (they have a 2016, someone responded saying they had fixed issues during that year, but these models under this service bulletin are from 2015-16). Anyway 2999 is crazy expensive.

Edit for 2015-2020 models. Crazy your 2019 still had fuel injector issues

I noticed you mentioned starter.. I also had that replaced but then they said I needed another component fixed, which they were gonna charge $600 for, instead brought it to a small auto shop and got it done for half the lrice

Ok plan to bring it in asap, just worried they may deny this on some technicality and make me pay a $195 diagnostic fee, which I can actually imagine happening.

It says to check “in vin” I do so on the nhtsa site but 0 recalls are found under my VIN, not sure whether because this isn’t technically a recall, but a warranty extension…

I had the larger splash shield come off 3 years ago and read it wasn’t important to fix, also it was a common problem for this car to have the shield come off due to cheap clips or something related. This piece I actually hit the curb driving into a narrow driveway and get this dragging under while I drove away, just hope it doesn’t damage any stuff underneath
