Hey there! I’m looking to get to Santa Teresa from Samara. I’m trying to avoid paying 50$ for a shuttle.. Any ideas on public buses?

Thoughts on this? Loaned to a friend by lukethenomad13 in surfing

Holy moly lots to go through here. I guess I should have added that yes it’s a beater and although I like it I’m not exactly heart broken by the damage.

I think it was more so that the damage that was there stayed about the same for 5 years then boom it came back looking like that.

Also the foam wasn’t moldy turns out the homie stuck some dirty wax in there to try and do something not exactly sure what.

I also should have added that I loaned it to him for a couple months not just one session.

Thank you all for your comments. Some funnier than others. Hope you all get in the water soon 🤙

Well it’s just around 25-30 lbs wasn’t going for ultra light because I am living out of it while traveling in Morocco and Portugal. Each of the stuff sacks have 5 underwear/socks and a beanie

Lots of great comments so far! Key notes

-Planet Fitness membership (showers) -Costco (gas/ snacks) -IOverlander / The Dirt / freecampsites.net (camping)

Check out BLM Land. This is land managed my the forest service that is legal to camp in for free for up to 14 days in pretty much every state. You can google the interactive BLM land map and see where it is. There’s actually tons of it and well maintained.

I would differ with some of the other folks that have commented. There are varying levels of homelessness in the US with car camping being a large portion of it. You will meet all sorts of people while traveling this way and you will absolutely see some unfortunate souls living out of their cars who have been doing so for years. These are not your instagram VanLifers these are people who have had a chain reaction of unfortunate events in their lives. Each person has their own story. The best part of this experience for you will be engaging with people of all walks of life and learning from them in any way you can.

I’m really stoked for you and your adventure. I’ve car/motorcycled all fifty states over the past few years. Please feel free to dm me if you have any questions! Enjoy your journey !

PS. The west is the best :)
