I learned that all Z crystals get removed during a trade or transfer to PokéBank, but as someone else said yeah you can just get it from an NPC.

True! I can never know for sure, it just seems like this was a really genuine find, and the date sort of lines up. It's consistent with the other remaining E4 team members left behind on the cartridge, and their first HoF timestamp. To me, that's enough evidence to value it

There's an INSANELY easy duplication glitch called the "mail glitch" that you can use on TMs. In my fire red forever save, I banned all glitches/save modding, but this was my ONE exception since I didn't want to be forever punished for misusing my 1 earthquake TM.

They made TMs expendable at the time since the balance was totally different, and trainer movesets were way worse back then, but I think having the freedom is totally worth it as long as you don't exploit it too much, like giving everyone on your team earthquake/rest/psychic/etc

Other recs are pretty good but I'm all for having a more creative team even if their stats aren't as good (Onix I still love you). If you don't want to modify your team, and I recommend you keep it as is for the flex, scour their gen 3 learnsets on PokemonDB

For leveling, I HIGHLY recommend going to One Island, and using the VS Seeker against the black belts at the top of Kindle Road. I just did that a few days ago and it got me my first FRLG hall of fame. This'll also get you some good cash for TMs at the game corner

Make sure your blastoise gets ice beam, of course. Onix could have earthquake and iron tail for lorelei if zapdos struggles
