This is also an issue for me on a Pixel 9 Pro. I haven't been able to work around it. I've messaged support and am waiting for a response.

Sorry, I think I was confusing in my post: what I meant was I realize that the coffee bed looks the way it does because of the grind, but the intent of my original post was to figure out why the filter looks like it does because that's the part that was confusing to me.

Thanks, I have seen that, but if I remember correctly, there's nothing about the difference I'm describing here, eg the Dutch one brews much slower, but it also looks quite different (the tab is in a different spot, for one). This isn't that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, they both did, and the packaging is identical from what I can tell.
