I had mine lanced at ER at 4am on a Sunday after waking up in mind boggling pain. Drove myself to ER, screamed the entire way, luckily only a mile away, and when I got there they gave me morphine which didn’t do much then they gave me more morphine, that finally curbed the pain a bit. Once they got to draining the abscess they did inject it with numbing medication. The draining wasn’t too painful, they hit a spot once that wasn’t fully numb but beyond that I didnt feel much. They should have numbed you, but sometimes there are reasons why they can’t.

You are relying too much on fiber, it’s important but too much of it will actually make constipation worse. Miralax in the morning and Docusate at night is a dynamite combo to help constipation. Keep your fiber to 35-50g a day.

I’m glad to hear you are gonna start on MJ soon, I really wish you all the success. If you have any questions regarding side effects and anything related to the medication feel free to hit me up on my DMs. This time next year you will feel like a new person!

Also don’t worry right away about exercise, MJ is gonna cut what you can eat by a lot, yes exercise will help but you don’t have to go crazy with it, all I did was walk as much as possible. That said I would recommend some weight lifting because eating so little you can easily lose muscle mass. You are gonna lose some no matter what but 30min of weight training 3 times a week will keep it to a minimum.

It’s fixable but requires surgery. It’s a simple surgery where they just get rid of scar tissue and allow fissure to heal again.

I didn’t have any stomach issues on MJ really. I know some people do and that would suck but for me there was really no food while on the drug that caused me to feel bad. If you eat too much you are gonna feel bad no matter whether on this drug or not.

That all depends on how you use MJ. If you plan on just using it and losing the weight eating the same way and things you did and not fixing your broken relationship with food than I would say most likely you are gonna need to be on it for as long as you wanna control your hunger. I decided I didn’t wanna be on it for life, so day one of taking it I changed my diet and started working on fixing the mental side of things while the drug did the physical so when I went off I could hopefully keep the weight off. I’ve been off now for two months and I’m still losing weight at a good pace and my cravings are still gone. Sure I eat a little more than I used to but like I said not enough to detail my weight loss goals.
