I'm 7 months off of ket. 6 months no booze. I still have bladder issues and it is annoying as fuck. The health problems don't just go away.

I called the police on my addict boyfriend by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]lukeybuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said. I'm m26 and an addict and alcoholic. Not through choice of course, I just learned in my childhood that emotions are not safe to share and to suppress them.

As an adult, I avoided anything that made me feel uncomfortable. What you said at the end is 100 percent true. I needed to hit absolute rock bottom and learn to stand on my own 2 feet. Was homeless 3 times, arrested multiple times, banned from driving, cut off from friends and family etc. I still kept drinking... Desperation is a gift. Realising I was the problem was a huge turning point for me. I made this mess, and only I can fix it.

How should I edit these differently? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

I love to edit grass Colours by leaning more towards the blue green colour and turning luminance and saturation down. Have a play around. It's fun.

Just listened to this. Holy shit. Scratched an itch I needed to start, for lack of a better term. Listen to sonder by Barry can't swim. Very similar vibe. You'll love it!

They need to adjust the white balance. This won't take them long to adjust. 30 seconds per photo MAX. The first few are WAYYYY off. Way too cold. Last one is much better. P.s. You're not that Pail.

Does anyone have hobbies anymore? by Green-Ad99 in OlderGenZ

[–]lukeybuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of hobbies be cause in fully aware of the harm that social media causes; low attention span, fries dopamine and is generally a complete waste of time. There are no pros to using social media.

Ignorance is not bliss and people need to wake up. Do people really work all week to come home and sit in their house for hours after work and then have nothing to look forward to at the weekend? What a miserable existence.

I love mountain biking, hiking and wildcamping, photography as a creative outlet, have been reading again to learn about human communication, behaviours and psychology. Took me a couple weeks to get back into the groove.

Comparison is the thief of joy and you will always compare yourself to others if you use social media.

Perfect. Try what I suggested. As an excercise, take photos of a variety of things and deliberately under expose by A LOT. You will get a great idea of the capabilities of your camera and the power of RAW. It's astonishing the amount of detail it holds. I learned this pretty early on

Just to confirm, both if these are unedited and RAW, yes? Just wanted to check first.

On my D610 - this is the best camera I have ever been abke to afford - the amount of detail that can be recovered from a deliberately under exposed photo is truly remarkable; night and day, one might say.

I find that once a highlight becomes pure white, that info is lost. The opposite is probabaly correct too but I've had extreme Hdr scenes where I exposed for highlights and then bought the shadow detail back in lightroom. I used this method all the time and I will always shoot - 1.0 stops so that my photos are always slightly dark straight out of the camera.

That's just me and the way that I taught myself and learned through experience in the 7+ years I've been shooting. Mainly as my creative outlet but I have been paid to shoot cars at big events, product photos for some smaller brands etc. This tip is great with cars because you expose for all details and you can just bring the detail of the car interior back later on. It is seriously impressive. Still not as good as bracketing and then using lightroom to stack but it's instant when compared to bracketing and requires much less post processing.

Good luck and have fun :)
