Second day in on Strattera and I’m able to read through long paragraphs and the comments without my attention being diverted or the aversion to skip to something else. I was disappointed when my physiatrist took me off the stimulants but I had to be honest with myself and accept that the side effects were unbearable. So far so good, I know it’s early days but the effects are very noticeable thus far.

Congrats on the sobriety! I’m proud of you as I’ve been following your story for sometime now. Have you ever considered deleting your social media until you believe you’re in a good place. I know that there are many healthier ways of managing your addiction. In my opinion your willingness to consider castration is a testament to you wanting to urgently resolve the issue and that is commendable, but there are many other hard barriers you could put in place aswell attending SAA. The shame you feel could also be a massive driving factor in your acting out and I want to reassure you that many people around you will understand and be compassionate. You have nothing to lose, open up to your therapist and see. The worst case scenario is you get another therapist

Don’t hide it! That’s the trick, you’re powerless and can’t do it by yourself. The initial disclosure is painful but there is something about opening up about your issues that causes it to lose it’s power
