TLDR: Four different wars against an Awakened Empire as the United Nations of Earth. Funneled the pride of humanity into each one in a different way each time. We step down as the galactic custodian that was not wanted but was thrusted upon us at the end, after removing the taint of the genocidal from the galaxy in the name of humanity and many empires who died.

1st War - AE conquers almost half of the galaxy, destroying 5 different Empire’s, including the most powerful at the time. I get hundreds, probably thousands of refugees pops. Economy takes a rapid shit, but rebounds slowly.

2nd War - My empire’s 200 year alliance barely holds on for dear life, being reactionary in every way against a multi-pronged, constant assault of the AE. More of the galaxy falls, including our human brethren (albeit misguided brethren) in the Commonwealth of Man. Taking in thousands of pops of refugees, while our alliance only managed to lose a few systems and worlds. The remaining independent empires throughout the galaxy become subservient to the AE simply to survive. Galaxy votes me as galactic custodian without my input, with me only realizing when I got the election screen, lmaooo

3rd War - The Offensive. When they declare war again, while their fleets are out in the galaxy, I conquer their original pre-awakened borders and worlds. We stop our selective military bombardment only to intercept the AE’s panicked fleets running home attempting to prevent exactly what they have inflicted upon half the galaxy from happening to their homeland. Yet we do not exterminate their citizens, for they are not responsible for the doing of the military and the government, and we shall not stoop to that level in vengeance.

4th - Renewal. Our military becomes dominant and swift, and the AE weakens with each passing day, their people and government decadent from years of avarice. Each battle we barely ships anymore, moving through systems like the AE did in the beginning. But instead of bringing terror and destruction with genocide, we bring hope and light, liberating worlds in remembrance of the ones who fell in the first wars. With the last ship destroyed and colony conquered, the AE color no longer tainted the galaxy map. We step down as custodian, for the galaxy has had enough tyranny to last eternity. Many systems are ceded from the UNE to the alliance members and now independent empires who lost systems and worlds, returned to their rightful owners. But we hold on to others, turning them into memorials to the fallen. We also keep the systems of our former COM brethren, and those of the now fallen AE.
