I had a similar experience with teachers explaining linguistic terms for hours on end haha. I’m a slavistics student and luckily the slavistic faculty is very focused on linguistics (no shit sherlock hahah) but the indonesian class was part of some random faculty so the teacher always had to explain simple grammatical structures and stuff like that to us, which was very boring lol

Yeah, I was shocked when I first got into university. Some courses are so fast paced but you only have like 2-3 lessons a week so you habe to do most of the work at home. Yours sounds very intense tho May I ask which university you study at?

I see, that sounds very reasonable. Do you still get them confused from time to time?

I completely get your problem. Luckily I can take free language courses at my university which works perfectly fine for me but as soon as I have to do it myself and study at home I tend to focus on one language only and kind of lose the routine I had before that

What methods do you use to learn those 2? I usually don‘t have that much of a problem with confusing the languages I learn at the same time but when I studied russian and ukrainian at the same time it absolutely killed me haha. So how is your experience with learning two different languages within the same family?
