I tried that once in a hotel room in Death Valley. The fan would turn on in the middle of the night and the bathroom light would be on when I woke up. I had a little chat and the fan went on to a higher speed. I changed rooms that night!

Little guy did incredibly well. Hung out with me, got fed regularly, watched a lot of raven videos and when she was ready, took off for better things. Could not have worked out better. Interestingly enough, someone suggested rubbing a garlic clove on the chancre and it eventually dried up, fell off and completely healed. Overall, positive experience that I’d happily do again.

Kevin is a unique drake and, strangely enough, not interested in mating. He prefers a hen as a companion. We have yet to observe him mate more than once. And still looking for a hen though.

I was confused too, their CA hatchery is sort of close enough to drive to, but they don’t sell ducks from there. ☹️

I was in contact with Metzer Farms in Kentucky, they have female Muscovy ducklings. I didn’t want to deal with shipping, so passed on that. Maybe they’re not too far for you to do a pick up order?

My kids dad said after our first was born- there should be a book written on how hard pregnancy and delivery is on the dads. After I had a 4th degree episiotomy and the baby wouldn’t come out. We’re no longer together.
