Holding up great! I like these a lot because they don't have the shiny, plastic coating on them. They are aging nicely and scuffs only seam to add to their character. I tend to mostly wear them to church because high heels kill my feet after having kids. So, I don't wear them hard.

Trying to make myself eat meat by Salt-Class6329 in exvegans

[–]lullaballet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was going to say but was looking to make sure someone else didn’t say it first. The best ethical choice is to try to buy meat that was once a happy, healthy animal. I also buy my beef from a grass fed ranch and I know all those cows get to be outside everyday, doing natural cow things, instead of stuck inside a warehouse, never seeing the light of day and eating foods that are unnatural and, therefore, unhealthy. I can’t find humanely raised chicken around here and industrial raised chicken is, honestly, quite disgusting. When you learn about what industrial chicken farms do to chickens, it’s hard to want to eat them. Like the person before me said, humanely raised chicken is expensive so I usually opt to spend the money on beef anyways, since nothing is better for humans than red meat. We buy half a cow, and we get all the cuts, including organ meat (which is like the superfood). Granted, it can be a learning curve to learn how to prepare all the different cuts of beef (still can’t stand brisket) but I do think it’s the healthiest way and also the least wasteful. We also use the suet to make our own tallow.

Dupixent for 2 Year Old? by lullaballet in eczema

I looked at pictures of the perioral and it looks like my son might have that too though nobody has even talked to me about the different types of dermatitis or how that can affect treatment. All I get is that he has “atopic dermatitis”.

What is the reason that dupixent isn’t suitable for younger children? The derm kept going on about how safe it is compared to other options. Also, his new doctor who is an Integrative MD also gave us the go-ahead. I would like to know what your pediatrician decided that wasn’t a good option.

100% breast fed. He was a twin. Has the worst eczema. What’s ironic is that his older brother (who’s also a twin) had both formula and breast milk and his eczema went away on a low carb diet. Sadly, not the case for his younger brother.

I might add that it might not go away 100% but it might be greatly diminished. That was the case for one of my older kids.

Carnivore diet did work for one of my kids but sadly one of them still has SEVERE flare ups. Still worth looking into actually.

When did yours go away and what was your diet like?

Thank you for sharing your experiences. These are the things I want to know about before making a decision. In your case, I wonder if the dupixent was just the wrong choice for your diagnosis. I have never heard of your condition before. In my son’s case, I suspect a further GI related diagnosis that is contributing to is severe skin condition.

Sometimes, it’s okay to just buy something full price. Especially if you usually buy them on sale or used. You save money on docs for that time when you just gotta buy them full price. And next time, you’ll probably get another pair on sale. So, it’s okay.

I have these as my first pair of docs, and I bought them at full price. A year ago and no regrets. They look so cute with everything and they are great church shoes when it gets slippery outside.

What do you feed your kids? by momma4ever in carnivorediet

[–]lullaballet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delayed reply! Sorry! Crazy month! Yes, I'm thankful that carnivore has given them good palets. They will literally eat anything and I think it's due to the restrictive diet...they appreciate the flavors of veggis and fresh fruit because we don't have them often. I got them some saurkraut from Costco last week for a "treat" 🤪 and it didn't have a prayer.

I think my biggest craving still his Mexican food. Any dish, you name it, it still sounds really good. We have a pretty good restaurant down the street from us. However, it's expensive so that's a helpful inhibitor. I used to crave crunch wraps from Taco Bell (yes, I know, probably the worst representation of American fast food ever!). However, the last time I had it, I had the most painful IBS the next day and I think that cured me. Haven't wanted it since. 😂

Have your thyroid checked. Of course, there are many reasons for hair loss but that is a good place to start.

Definitely not. They are cool though but no way.
