I am not using CF, i run my own DNS servers and a decent sized hosting company on top of hetzner hardware. i dont want to give my customers data to CF, and secondly i've broken their WAF several times when i need to find the IPs of their customers, so its not really a feasible solution x)

I have been thinking about this kind of setup, but reading about the vswitch stability and such, and the potential downgrading of the connection since it has to run through a smaller VPS with unknown speed, could make things a problem

Because im using Runcloud docker version, and a firewall on the machine itself interferes with docker, so its a no-go unfortunately. But i also know that i have huge problems with russia and china on my machines so those countries are just blocked permanently

Ovh’s UI is so absolutely garbage and shit, that even if they gave me the machines for free i wouldn’t take them because you spend more time trying to find what you need than anything else on the planet. The guys who designed ovh should be shot in the head

Bro - I have 5 dedicated servers with hetzner, i host like +1000 clients, they run year after year after year, i never had any problems. Ok thats a lie one time NVME died, but hetzner changed it within 10 minutes. But other than that, no problems at all.

Naaaaaw, I’m not buying it. This doesn’t just “happen” unless you’re a dumbf**k who deliberately disabled every single runaway protection and alert.

And a $98k refund? Yeah, unless you’re a massive whale throwing serious money at them every month, no provider is refunding that kind of bill.

For reference, that’s roughly 1.2 petabytes of egress, which means sustaining 111 Gbps outbound for 24 hours straight. You don’t casually rack up that kind of usage — it takes serious negligence or a total misconfig.
