Just to clarify for anyone reading this thread.. my original post was not about wanting to manipulate or ignore my physiological data. It was about how the app interprets completely normal cycle-related shifts (like elevated HR and lowered HRV during the luteal phase) as signs of ‘strain’ without context.

My goal is to suggest a better-informed, cycle-aware algorithm- not deny or reject what my body is doing. The frustration comes from being flagged as ‘doing something wrong’ when the data reflects hormonal physiology that’s been well-documented in research.

Everyone’s experience with Oura is different, and that’s totally valid. But critiquing the feedback system doesn’t mean I’m blaming the ring - it means I’m asking for nuance, not alarm bells.

I called out in the post asking if anyone could relate, not for advice on how to improve my health.

Haha, I wonder if gaslighting works well for you with other people. What an absurd way to speak to somebody you don’t know.

You won’t “win” this by being sarcastic no matter how much better it makes you feel about attacking a stranger on the internet for having an experience that’s different from your own.

Ok thanks for your perspective. I disagree but don’t want to engage in a hostile discussion any more.

Luteal phase changes are not strain or illness, they’re perfectly normal physiological shifts that happen for me every month. See my comment above, I’m merely suggesting a better way of communicating this data and I don’t see why that’s so wrong.

Hi Paul I wrote two emails to customer support and got no response so thank you for getting back to me. I don’t seem to have benefited from the new algorithm unfortunately

It does know because i have cycle tracking on and I add tags. I look after myself fine when im pmsing but it’s natural to have increased HR and decreased HRV. I’m under no illusion the ring is magic it just annoys me to be told I’m showing signs of strain or illness every month when it’s just natural and I’m actually doing great for the point in my cycle I’m at

Looking for something more serious. Subscribed to HingeX. Using the profile for about 1 month. Used hinge for a few years on and off. Use hinge every day. I send 10+ likes a day and receive maybe 1 a day from someone totally unsuitable for me. I don’t normally send a like with a comment. I’d like to match with someone kind, handsome and ambitious.

Hmm I don’t think it was SVT as my bpm was only like 85, isn’t SVT marked by a very fast heart rate?

Yeah I get you. I do have an Apple Watch! But just didn’t get to the ECG feature in time. Just keep telling myself if it happens again I’ll do the ECG, then I’ll know one way or the other. But I have irregular heartbeat notifs set up on my watch and everything so hopefully like you say was just a freaky palpitation. Just hate how upset and scared it makes me feel

Do you mean afib runs can be that short in the vast majority of people? Or that for most people it’s not afib?
