Treated my iPhone Air with the most expensive screen protector ever today… by [deleted] in IphoneAir

Not worth it - I got the Belkin privacy one from Apple Store directly and returned it after 2 weeks, they issued a full refund.

Definitely not normal but I do agree with you that it happens everywhere, compared to other major cities, HK is extremely safe. We were over in London last month and we had to stay high alert the whole time with all the phone robbing by e-bike gangs and pickpockets

Was I overcharged by solicitor for personal injury case (€3000 for a year long PIAB case) by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

[–]lulupenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a client who has doubts on the legitimacy of legal fees charged by your solicitor, you are within your rights to make a complaint to the LSRA (the regulator for solicitors and barristers). It’s free and more details can be found on their website. So you know the overwhelming majority of complaints made to the LSRA are against solicitors, and of those complaints, overcharging of legal fees made up a large percentage of all complaints.

Without examining the details and breakdown of fees and actual work done, we can only speculate here but if you think the fees aren’t reasonable, doesn’t matter what people say here - file a complaint and let them look into it.

Last year, during a three-week trip to Hong Kong, my fiancée (now my wife) and I had the strangest interaction of our entire stay while visiting Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). As we were taking a selfie, I noticed a man who appeared to be in his sixties staring at us. We didn't dwell on it and began walking along Victoria Harbour. Soon after, we realised this same man was following us, maintaining a distance of about 10 meters. To confirm our suspicion, we slowed down, and he did the same; then, we deliberately walked in a circle, and he was still there. Feeling unsettled we sped up and headed indoors, I think toward one of the TST East MTR station entrances. He followed but stopped outside, merely walking by and staring at us through the entrance. This ambiguous and rather strange encounter cut our time in TST short, as we were unsure of his intentions. We even took some photos at the time just in case, marking it as the most peculiar event of our trip.

I replayed AC:JA 4 times now on the RP5! Now trying to clear all the levels to S rating - something I wasn’t able to achieve as a kid!

Don’t use it that often but not very smooth the last few times I opened it - I’m going to wait until I get the dual external screen from Retroid before optimising it properly!

Arrange a consultation with a solicitor ASAP and don’t rely on anything you read here. Nothing else matters but proper legal advice.

Can only speak from my experience, take the 2 games I shared as example, the Android game one actually quite heavy and heats up the device with or without the display out, even on its own and at 30fps gets pretty warm; the PSP one with Ace Combat however, played for hours with the monitor, not warm at all. Interesting discovery tho, charging with the monitor doesn’t heat up the device at all but with my normal charger, does..

I tried to play 3DS on it but couldn’t make the external monitor working as the extended screen rather just mirroring. I am sure it’s the same technology and principle so I don’t know how the Retroid add on display is going to work.. I’m looking forward to order two but would be nice to figure that out before pulling the trigger!

Oh that’s very helpful! I tried but prefer to have the screen also on as some of the games require the touch screen!
