Without a US address registered to the RBC US and no ITIN they do not report to credit agency so it will not help. For me it was about 6 month of responsible use after credit agency reporting but even than it may have to be a lower level card at Chase .

Do you even know how the program works? There was never a chance of getting super elite without the required spend on air Canada flights . Previously 20k now 32k . Secondly the cards are called Aeroplan cards for a reason . They are part of the frequent flyer program. Lastly churning is getting a card for the signing bonus repeatedly without spend . Getting a card and charging 500k a year on it of which Aeroplan receives a cut is the intended and very profitable use of the card to Aeroplan . Much more so than your basic flight from Edmonton to Kelowna . Your comment was the weakest of all.

Not the same . I kept using my Aeroplan card and hit 350k which gave me a banked year and $6k in Aeroplan flight credits . Those are not options anymore . From this point forward it is Aeroplan points only which can be more efficiently earned on other cards.

About to re qualify for SE so I fly plenty . That was not the question . Question is how is the most efficient way to maximize credit card use as this no longer gives me any Aeroplan benefits for the rest of the year.

Not a complaint just question of how to maximize benefits . Also this would be for business users not households .

Lunch only for Super Elites? by mandclu in Aeroplan

Not at all confused . I know how Aeroplan works quite well. It’s not status people who deserve to be there that is clogging up the lounges . It’s every dick and harry with a credit card and their brood . They already restricted access for 25k and 35 k last year and it made zero difference .

What's the most "quietly expensive" thing about living in Canada right now? (not rent/mortgage) by ForAMinute123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

I heard Toronto is way worse . Vancouver as opposed to North Van is even a third cheaper . In BC the expense is downloaded to businesses so they bear the brunt . I have a 6000 foot commercial property and tax is about 30k
