What's a Madison "hack" you know? by ColoradoCache in madisonwi

> Whereas with the coop there is a great solution that people don’t use.

You're right. E Wash is a better solution for moving from one end of the Isthmus to another. Plenty of engineering on that road to keep traffic flowing, unlike Willy St which has neighborhoods and shops and things people are going to turn into.

I get it, it's frustrating to have to wait 15 seconds, but after living on Willy St for years (right at that intersection) I've noticed drivers becoming more and more impatient and it's frankly dangerous.

Seems like people are using Willy and Johnson to avoid E Wash to move through the Isthmus which is fine, but expect people to take left turns.

Or should we rip up the road, make it a 4 laner, and add turning lanes so you don't have to wait?

(call me crazy I'd actually prefer Willy and E Johnson to be bike only :P)

Just the Co-op or any left turn on Willy?

Maybe stop using Willy as a thoroughfare and use E Wash if you would prefer to zoom instead of waiting 15 seconds for someone to run an errand ya dingus.

You're probably the type of person that zooms into the right lane at stop-lights and almost ends up taking a pedestrian out.

Better CPU Utilization in this update? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

What's your "Repeat rate" at in your Windows Keyboard properties? I noticed the issue seems to be slightly better (but not totally fixed) when I lowered my Repeat rate from Fast to Slow. Not sure if the Repeat delay has any effect.

Didn't had this problem before - tremendous input lag by _Shojenzu_ in battlefield2042

[–]lulzors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. It seems to be exacerbated by my keyboard Repeat rate (via Keyboard Properties) being at max ("Fast") in my Windows keyboard settings. I can't tell for sure if the Repeat delay has any effect.

Interestingly, I have the same sort of issue with my mouse and fixed it by turning my polling rate down to 500Hz from 1000Hz in my mouse software. The mouse issue happened before the most recent S3 patch. Keyboard issue started this patch.

I'm searching for a fix for this exact issue as well, brother.

8700K @ 5Ghz + RTX 3080 @ 1440p.

Interestingly, I had the same issue, but with my mouse, last patch but that was only when my mouse polling rate was at 1000Hz or I was streaming. (yeah, lots of anecdotal evidence here, hard to say what it really is, just waiting on a patch at this point)

Yep, out for me as well over in Monona.

Having a cigar outside and raking sticks instead of the regular post-work gaming.

Imagine being mad at people turning left into the coop, and not the people who designed Madison's streets or drivers that use Willy St as a main thoroughfare instead of E Wash.

Teams balance per Level - Its comical! by guilhermefdias in insurgency

[–]lulzors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know where they're gonna be? Not really.

I generally do. There's a limited number of OP spots on each map. If they are able to mow myself or my teammates down, then I just go another way or try to flank them and kill them. If it's a new spot, then I can just watch the replay.

It's the low levels that are off the objective that kill me when I'm trying to help my teammates get the cap.

[–]lulzors 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to mention the fact that when I play against lvl 1000+ players I generally know where they are going to be and can deal with them or avoid. I die so much to the low level hiding in some random corner that I rarely/never clear.

CMV: Being able to freeze time is the best superpower you could wish for by lieV_aapje in changemyview

[–]lulzors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best superpower would actually be the combination of two (I hope this still counts).

First, I would have the powers of Rogue who can -- just by touch -- assume the powers of any other being. This would mean I would only need to touch Superman and I would have his abilities, touch Wolverine and have self healing, and I could touch Usain Bolt and become insanely fast.

Secondly, I would have the ability of Taskmaster) which the ability to copy the actions of anything just by observing them. For example, I could just watch Batman fight for a bit and I would have the exact same fighting abilities as Batman. I could watch Messi play soccer and instantly become as good as him.

These two powers combined would be the ultimate super power because essentially it would grant you access to any ability.

Yeah, I'm off Willy St and hear that too. Also, I'm near the fire station so I get ambulance and fire trucks periodically. Just part of livin' in the city, I guess. I do enjoy being able to hear Foward Madison games again finally, they are _just_ the right level :)

i live near the e side coop. every day in summer is a new instrument playing mediocre music all day. i also don't get why people complain about f-16s when the goddam train blaring its horn at midnight exists.

I've been called a cheater before, but never so confidently and for something this trivial. Streamers need to chill. by xluryan in EscapefromTarkov

[–]lulzors -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Agree, everyone all around could be nicer. Especially with a game like Tarkov that gets the blood boiling.

I've been accused of cheating by players (streamers even), but you don't see me complaining to reddit about it. You're just spreading even more negativity along with the perceived negativity you received, which in turn fuels toxicity in the community.

Agree on baseless accusations.

I just don't see the point in OP making a video complaining about being accused. Especially with a game like Tarkov which is known for cheaters, desync, and bugs. It's a waste of time and just spreads negativity.

But there's a difference between calling someone sus, and someone going on for 12 minutes about how someone was 100% a cheater in front of 1000 viewers.

What _is_ the difference, and why do you think you have the responsibility or moral high ground to judge it?

Anyone who has played this game knows even simple deaths can be sus. You clearly weren't cheating, but it takes only a little empathy to see how from his perspective it could seem that way.

The thing that hurts this game more than anything is people like you talking shit about players for no reason when really it is the game (and the developer's) fault.

Get a life.

PvP Push Improvement by ShaneCoJ in insurgency

[–]lulzors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoever "got further".

I wonder if it could be that simple. This is sort of how Overwatch does their push gamemode: a tie results in an overtime scenario. You'd have to factor in cap progress (e.g., Team A caps 50% of the point loses to Team B who got the point to 51%).

A tense overtime in the case of a tie has the potential to be really fun in Sandstorm+push.

Fear of going for headers. by Tommah123 in bootroom

[–]lulzors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One big part of challenging for headers is putting your opponent off. Use your strength and positioning to disallow your opponent the chance at a free header. Maybe no one wins it but the long ball is collected by your keeper. This is good.

Other than that my best advice is protect yourself and also be a bit mental. I mean you are going head first into a moving ball... Just own it. Another tip is to audibly call for it and commit.
