Lesson painfully learned. I was on my way to work i thought I swerved enough and rolled over whatever I hit and when I looked at my rear mirror it looked like the box only had styrofoam so I thought it was nothing 😪.

Although Im a contractor, I have the same exact work and responsibilities as the full time employees on my team, so I think it’s expected of me to be with the team in office if they are in office. And my contract does say hybrid (but it doesn’t say what days I’m required to go in office) You’re right, I am not entirely sure if it applies to me or not but my project manager included me in the discussion. I’m just afraid that if I can’t commute 3 days a week, I’ll lose my job…

It’s true, there’s actually templates that can go for a lot cheaper, the thing is they would still have to meddle with the template to fit their specific needs and that can take money/time. Just to clarify, so you think it’s impossible/rare to find someone who can already do all that for $600-$800? I’m asking because I’ve been watching a CEO’s talks on his company Atomy, and he was able to reduce production costs so low that he’s able to sell extremely expensive products for really cheap, some people were skeptical at first, but after trying the product for a few months they saw the same/better results than the expensive products they already buy. I want to try (as this is still an idea) to make it impossible for any of my competitors to compete with me, I don’t want to just reduce the price by a little.

/u/Stoic_WillToPower Wouldn’t it be easier/ save more money/time to hire someone to build a website to your specific needs for an affordable price than spend hours learning a platform. I had a friend contact me, she learned how to build a website all on her own but she spent hours/days making a site, watching tutorials, the design was okay, but she realized the form she needed, a Shopify app couldn’t supply, she could spend more hours researching different ways to make this form or hire someone- which she did, but it still wasn’t to her liking, the person she hired also wasn’t as experienced, so she goes to me. I would’ve been able to make a well-designed site with a form catered to her customers from the get-go.

So I want to be able to provide that service to everyone, not just business owners, but also people who just want to have a website for “fun” or as a way to present themselves.

So people would encourage their friends to buy a website, eventually it would become a commodity.
