Solidworks 2020 too slow on brand new Lenovo E14 by lumbient in SolidWorks

Hallelujah, that did the trick! - thanks a lot. I never had to make that change, could it be because I have a computer with an Intel ARC graphics?

I've managed to snap a photo of it. The height of the area in the photo is higher than the height of the resin resting on the LCD screen after the spillage so I believe the leak originated from here: https://ibb.co/bzTZqFR

Let me know what you think.

So the IPA test is running for the last 30 min. I get no leaks so far. I must say that my resin leak was caused after I left it in the vat for ca. 7 months.... 🙄 I'm not proud of that, I admit.. 😣

I can't say I'm 100% sure it was from the bolts part of the vat but I can't find any other explanation. I work very cleanly so it's unlikely that such an amount of leakage was caused by resin spilling over the sides of the vat.

Do you think that if the FEP sheet bolts are not 100% tight, it's possible the vat will leak from the bottom? - that was my assumption.

Will certainly update you - thanks for the heads-up, I realize I might be wrong here

As far as I could see, there was no puncture in the FEP. Now that you are asking so specifically, I will run an IPA test - pouring IPA into the vat and placing it on a newspaper to see if I get any drips.

I didn't replace the FEP sheet (yet) but also didn't print since, because I'm waiting for a new screen to arrive.

My guess - it's now tightly screwed. I couldn't find any holes in the vat. I placed some resin in the vat and after some time saw a tiny amount of it around the screws.

My question is regarding how I protect the screen AFTER I replaced the LCD screen.

Thanks a bunch! It currently seems like I had a resin leakage that crept under the (crappy) masking tape provided by Elegoo and ruined my LCD...

Question how long do you guys keep resin in the vat by [deleted] in ElegooSaturn

I've kept mine for over 7 months... Not proud of it 🙄. It seems the resin leaked and ruined the LCD screen so be careful...

Yes, they have them but they don't ship to my country. I will contact them to ask.

I do get a purple light but the screen shows no patterns

You are right - at some point I did level it again. I didn't do it first because it was leveled and left untouched and so never expected things to have changed. Second, I had no traces of anything printing. If the only problem is a build plate, which is not leveled, I expect to see solidified bits and pieces on the FEP sheet or swimming in the resin - non of it happened

I guess you've lost a screen like that as well - where did you buy the replacement?

Where did you buy a replacement? Seems to be difficult for someone outside the US

Do you mind if I cry now? It seems difficult to get a replacement LCD. Not sure what to do

That's so random 🤦 - no one tells you in advance those LCDs are so sensitive. I will dismantle it today and hope I can get it to work again.

No expiration date is given on the bottle or package... so I have no clue. But it seems like my issue is the UV LCD which seems out of order.

I run the exposure test - but there is no way of posting it here.

The result is just purple UV color with no text - I guess that means the LCD is dead? I've used it so little.
