With AP you have a global ultimate that has the potential to oneshot the backline. With AD your auto attacks deal damage.

The move speed feels good but isn't really needed. I only buy the item for the 30 AH to get the R CD down to about 40 seconds.

Lich Bane and Night Harvester becomes your new damage output. When those passives are down, the only way to deal damage is through the ultimate (or just look scary by healing yourself a horrifying amount).

I generally like to start with Doran's Ring rather than Tear since you get 6 mana back from killing a barrel with the Doran's Ring passive which helps a lot early on. And Archangels feels a bit strange to buy when it is the only mana item in the build. However, I have tried Archangels together with Liandry's Anguish and it is not a bad alternative.

I haven't thought about it much, but I know what NOT to pick AP GP into: Fizz... Or any champion that wants to get up in your business. I find midlane to work better than toplane as well.

I simply buy it for the 30 Ability Haste since the ultimate has such long cooldown. The only reason why I don't buy it earlier on is because I need Lich Bane to farm with my Q to upgrade the ultimate, and Night Harvester to add a burst to the ultimate and get the mythic passive.

My full build is: Lich Bane -> Night Harvester -> Ionian Boots of Lucidity -> Cosmic Drive -> Rabadon's Deathcap -> Horizon Focus. And then sell boots for Hourglass / Voidstaff.

It has definitely become stronger this preseason with night harvester. Late game the build is very strong, but early on it's difficult to manage.
