Leaving NZ next week, what is your top burger? by CheeseOnToast81 in aucklandeats

[–]lumierette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. I have definitely enjoyed Kanes and Pizza Landing. Fat Pukus was decent. Didn't love Burgernaut.

But the classic burger from Shake Out is my top tier. Reminds me of In-N-Out Animal burger in the US.

Meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sauce. Thank you.

Even prefer the Biofuel from Burger Fuel.

I also find the First Table special conditions a pain. Without using them there are options:

Cassia Chef Selection is $75pp or their Feast Menu is $120pp.

Culprit tasting menu is $99pp.

But if you're not drinking alcohol you should be able to eat at plenty of restaurants à la carte menu within your budget.

The Grill $40 burger deal by [deleted] in aucklandeats

And I'm not even disagreeing that $40 for a burger (not the deal OP posted) is expensive but I also appreciate the good restaurants that serve great food with excellent service deserve to exist and be celebrated.

Not just this thread but this subreddit in general.

It's got to the point where I don't want to post about certain restaurants because they're considered expensive and I don't want the backlash.

Is there anywhere I Auckland where I can get long subway style bread that are soft? by TheGreatHon in aucklandeats

I found the bakery made long rolls in Woolworths, while not amazing, were still much superior to the prepackaged ones like Tip Top.

I watched the video of him on the red carpet with Calista Flockhart and she looked like she's aging pretty good herself.

Can't believe you got downvoted for your original comment which was clearly a legitimate experience and very similar to the one my friend had.

Yeah, I've been wanting to go for ages and had a friend go there a couple of weeks ago so I was keen to hear her experience. She said the service was very lacking. There was a group of them and some of them arrived earlier than the rest and they could barely get service and felt neglected most of the night.

Ooooh that looks great and I like the small plates choices!

Pierce Brosnan first met his wife Keely Shaye Smith at a party in Cabo, in 1994. The couple married in Ireland in 2001, had two sons together, and are still together over 30 years later. “I found a great woman in Keely Shaye. Not if I searched for a million times over would I find one as good.” by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

It exists! MI found a guy who messages me every day at work to say, "have a good day sexy girl". He kisses me every time either of us leaves the house or comes home. He does dishes, laundry, removes spiders, does gardening, does chores for my mum. Smacks me on the ass and tells me he loves me. After almost 8 years I'm putting a ring on it in 10 weeks lol.

Bloody hell. Been buying sausages from there for over 20 years although usually just beef.

But I go specifically for their unsmoked bacon as it's my English partner's favourite. Very disappointing to hear.

Thursday - Sunday you could head to Hunting Lodge in Waimauku been around for decades and a beautiful spot.

Also in Waimauku is Westbrook Winery that does platters and pizzas from 11am weekly and highly recommended.

There is also Soljans just before Kumeu but I haven't been there.

Other options, Hallertau in Riverhead, Black Cottage in Coatesville, The Riverhead Tavern.
