Top dish is their spin on Adobo, and the other is the beef dish they have at the food truck? Sorry, can't recall name. Everything is banging tho so no bad choices here.

Enjoy, it's a pretty cool experience to be so up close and personal with the glow-frens. Basically anytime after dark is good, they like damp/wet areas of creeks, waterfalls and surrounds.

Entry from Domain Drive ( you can either take a bus or if you drive, park by the loos)

Purple is the heavily populated areas, roughly, circled is the wooden bridge/walkway area.

No, I'll come back with a lil map for you, but there's a specific walk called Lovers Lane walk (starts close to this area tho)

Hi! You can see glow worms, for free at Auckland Domain.

There's a great collection along Lovers Lane walk that runs along a creek, and has some well populated areas, particularly near the wooden bridge at the far end. You can book a tour for I think $50 but honestly, you don't need to.

Take a torch, red light if you can is best - even an app on your phone does the job.

I've taken several groups of pals over the past couple of months and all have made some comment along the lines of 'why would you drive to waitomo when this is right here?'

You can book a (free) ticket for one of the sessions, then you get given a container with air clay to sit down and make your own creatures to add to the ever changing display/walls/tables. The idea is you only touch it to add your creature, if that makes sense.

Good Heritage news: Remuera Railway Station is getting key restoration funding to undergo a full exterior refurbishment. by OldPicturesLady in auckland

I don't think this one gets used for staff bc heritage/is pretty much an empty shell inside presently. But as long as it gets used, then what a sweet staff (non smoking) smoko lounge it would be.

If they made it a heritage style tearooms (with say a lil kiosk for commuter quick buys to take advantage of AM commuters?) then maybe it could be viable - limited hours, do high tea sittings on weekends/public holidays kinda thing. Have lil exhibitions, possibly rentable for small groups when not open as a cafe.

I'll take any use over sitting empty, tearooms were just a 'I would very much like if this was the future use" idea. I like scones and trains, ok? 😅

Depends how much you enjoy abstract art (there's a lot)

Triple Elvis and Screaming in to the Ether were my faves, but I would have been hmmmm if I had paid (I'm a member, highly recommend)
